I know alot of great QBs dont start there first season. Not saying they do. But out the QB's drafted last season 2 started and those 2 will be the ones that have atleast a decent career. Tebow wont hack it, I just dont see his style of play fall into the nfl.

The histroy of the NCAA? lol right.

It takes time to develop into a NFL QB. He could take 2 years to develop his game even more, before starting a game. No matter how we feel, we won't know until he gets there. I know one thing for sure. He's going to be better than several QBs taken high in the first round over the last several seasons. He's got another national championship and Heisman to win first. GO GATORS!!!! The rest of you colleges can watch as the greatest team in the history of the NCAA takes the field.

You're just as big of a fool for thinking that you "know" he will be a good QB in the NFL. You sound incredibly foolish. Just as you think we sound. Atleast when Tebow shits the bed, you will still have his awesome NCAA career to fall back on.

He can just go polish his Trophys, and such..... and we can look at the third place ribbon we got in tripple jump in junior high or sum such or the perfect attendence ribbon. Yeah either way he wins.

I think he did...for the most part. I mean you cant deny a 1000 yd rushing & passing season first ever. WIll Tebow do it? Fuck no...Will any other QB come close? Maybe but not anytime soon.

Didnt Rex Grossman have 1000yards passing 1000yards sacked for loss?

I said I "think" he will be a successful QB. I never said "know". I don't think he's going to change the game of football or be the greatest NFL QB ever. You guys are talking like he sucks right now. If he sucked that bad he would be playing for MCRG . Just kidding, but seriously . He's possibly the greatest college football player ever and he still has another season. Keep hating on Tebow because it will just make you look stupid as shit, more so than you already do, if he's an NFL success. Why don't you check the track record of QBs that have played under our current QB coach Scott Loeffler? He guaranteed Tebow would be an NFL QB and a guarantee from him on the subject is about the best guarantee you can find until it all comes to fruition. All we can do now is speculate. When he wins another national championship and Heisman this season are you still going to be hating? I'm sure that depends on what Mel Kiper says because you just repeat whatever you hear on TV. Tools.

A lot of a QBs success in the NFL or anywhere for that matter is not just the QB himself, it's the talent around him and the coaching. If Tebow comes into the NFL drafted by some crap team that has no talent then he is basically setup to fail. See Jamarcus Russell, Alex Smith, Drew Stanton, etc. You can't expect a QB to do everything, with bad WRs or an O-line that can't block a QB has almost no chance of success. I think in the right situation Tebow could do great in the NFL but if he winds up on a team where he has no one to throw to and is sacked 5 times a game then I guess you tools will be right.

Just because a you don't see many, if any, QBs like Tebow doesn't mean he can't succeed. No one has seen a QB run over LBs and Safeties since Tommy Frasier but Tebow has more than Frasier had. He is an excellent team leader and motivator, he is very smart, and aside from what all you tools think (Mel Kiper included) he can actually throw a football very well.

So let's just wait and see what happens. Does anyone have anything else original to say about the subject? Or is everyone else just going to quote ESPN.com and Sportscenter all day?

I think its funny how your saying teams can have bad WR's and an O-Line but not bad QB's. Ill give you Alex Smith because hes been there for 4-5 seasons and has had a new offense each season. Other then that Russell seems like a fail because his decision making is horrible.

Im not repeating what Mel Kiper says...Well you say I am but I dont even have cable at my house, So I dont get to watch espn that much.

Just watch as dirty sanchez fails this year with the jets...and hes a way better throwing qb then tebow.

I never teams can't have bad QBs. I simply said when you put a QB in a situation where he doesn't have anyone to throw to or is running for his life all game it is going to be extremely hard for them to be productive.

Ouch, no cable? I wouldn't know what to do with myself, at least you have internet!

Matt Ryan.

Turned a team right around. Michael Turner might be just as responsible. Go ahead and call us tools for not being behind your wittle Tebow. Your bias eyes will never agree to disagree anyways. For the record, Mel Kiper Jr. is a fucking moron and I don't listen to a word he says.

That's fine if you don't think Tebow will be a good NFL QB. I don't think I'm biased one bit. I'm always open to discuss what his weaknesses are, but you have to include his strengths in those conversations too. I never said he was going to be great or revolutionize the QB position in the NFL. I think he will be a solid QB and given the right situation he could excel. My biggest complaint is that the majority of the people hating on him do so because he has dominated their team, they don't like the Gators or they just spout any nonsense they read/hear. The dude hasn't even taken a snap in the NFL and people like to write him off. Hell he still has one more year of college. He's not even in the pros yet. I know one thing for sure, when Tebow plays with a chip on his shoulder he's the most dangerous player in college football. Any negative criticism he hears will just push him harder to succeed. So please, keep doubting what he can do!!

Matt Ryan definitely was a big part for turning the Falcons around. He obviously wasn't the only part. Offensive weapons like Michael Turner & Roddy White, along with an improved defense, made just as big of an impact. And of course Ryan's successful rookie campaign was a rare case, so that example isn't really proof of what generally happens.
