Sorry animusmax but I'm not impressed.

Rotating a playbook helps but when its noticed that a certain player might have a hard time breaking free from a block, or can be beaten it doesn't matter.

Not necessarily. I go to a small highschool with huge schools around me and our football team doesn't have the best talent in the world unlike other teams that have 3000 students to choose from. So we have to deal with what we got and we dont play by size or speed we go by our trick plays and stuff to get us past teams that are much better in depth and talent.

Quite a few of the high schools around where I live have 2000-4000 students per. Travel about 30 minutes away and you start to find the schools with the 200-800 student population. Trick plays can work, but not all the time.

Back in high school the team I was on wasn't the best but we did fairly well and tended to keep games fairly close. The problems start to happen when your starting OL is about the same weight as the starting DL of the other team. The worst beating we encountered was against Odessa Permian. Trick plays worked once, maybe twice, that was about it. That was back in 1981.

Yeah, size and speed does matter. Couple years back when i was a freshmen our team went undefeated until the semifinals. The team called pahokee down in florida is an all black team. my school is basically the opposite and they had the size and the speed in which we only had the size and we got manhandled. like 44 to 0. But than again pahokee was ranked like 6th in the country the past like 3 or 4 years and that year they had like 7 or 8 guys go to d 1 colleges.

Cypress, lol.I watched that Game on Sunshine Network here in FLA, Doggie and that Black School did look bad as fuck and if I remember correctly there was a DB for Pahokee that had 4 INT's that Game and set a State Record,LMAO!! My nephew plays for the Blountstown Tigers and I'm his Position Coach and we lost by 3 points in the State Championship Game to Fort Meade. A 2 time Defending State Champion. We know how to play Football down here in FLA as good as Texas plays High School Football!! Who is the better State in High School Football everyone? Texas or FLA?

LMAO we almost played blountstown when we went 14 and 0 then got our asses handed to us by pahokee. Didnt they get rocked by ocala trinity or something like that? And i gotta go with florida on better in highschool football man. Miami northwestern, Pahokee St. Thomas Aquinas man those teams were all top 5 in the country either this year or last year. except pahokee i think they were like 4th or 5th. I'm sure them texas people can disagree but i guess we'll never really know.

Oh and sehorn i think the db with 4 ints was named... Janoris Jenkins? i could be wrong but he plays for florida gators now. still one badass mofo.

Only real way to find out is FLA or TX has the better teams would be to figure a way to schedule games between the two. I haven't really taken a look much at FLA ball in recent years so I'm a little out of touch with hs ball there. If you want to see a state go rabid at times try CA. I know I'd take either FLA or TX hs over CA. Mostly due to the fact some of the best players come out of those two states and make it.

At least none are trying to claim OK and AR have teams worth talking about when it comes to hs football.

There was a game a couple years between South Lake Carroll andsome ghetto school from florida. The Florida school won and was then ranked #1 but SLC lost 3 games that season and was by far the best Texas had to offer (Katy would have dominated). If you look over the last 10 years Texas schools have dominated out of state schools. Back in 02 I believe a state champion from florida came to texas and got beat by a team who went lke 2- or 3-7 in AAA. I would rank it Texas #1, Florida #2 and Cali #3....go look at the overall records if you dont believe me.

That sounds reasonable but atm idk if anyone would beat St thomas aquinas. Theyve played teams all over and Whip the shit out of all of them. They're ranked 1 in the country and live close to miami.

Oh dont get me wrong I am not saying that anybody could or couldnt have from this previous season, but as a whole Texas plays better football year in and year out. Obviously some schools are going to have their years when they are stacked but a lot of these teams who go undefeated wouldnt in Texas. Like Eulass Trinity last season, they lost to Odessa Permian early in the season played then again in the playoffs and kicked their ass and went on to win state. (only reason they were not #1 last season....but rankings mean jack shit...im just saying ) Have them come to Texas and see how they fair through 16 games lol If any team does that they deserve to be #1 (in 5A of course...possibly 4A depending on the year and team quality)
