Warrior General Games

I think you're dead on Shalubis. The financial system needs to be reworked or something because otherwise, it'll only contribute to the mass exodus from the game. Then again, sometimes I wonder if Bort cares about the longevity of this game since he's likely done very well for himself just with the way things have gone so far.

Bort's made some noise about working on the finances, but the sim engine got so f'd up with the law of unintended consequences that it took all the oxygen. I'm hoping we get some announcements pretty soon and a re-work for season 10. If not some pretty good teams are going to be hard pressed.

Bort seems like a pretty diligent guy IMO - but I think sooner or later he'll realize he needs a vacation. Eventually some established company will buy it out or Bort will have to start hiring some guns.

The spreadsheet was 14-2 at predicting winners with the preseason included, 13-3 without. Personally, I think the power rankings are a bit better without the preseason but since it didn't make much difference with the predictions, I'll probably drop one preseason game per week so that we keep at least eight games worth of data.

Week 8 Predictions: 1 preseason, 7 regular
Week 9 Predictions: 0 preseason, 8 regular
Week 10 Predictions: 0 preseason, 9 regular

This. I ran the spreadsheet one season and it took more effort than I expected. Or maybe it just seemed like it after all the scouting before I would work on it.
