I don't think that is an unreasonable request of someone who views themselves as a potential moderator and facilitator of a civil league forum.

If you don't write "fail" posts yourself we will have no quarrels. If you continue to write "fail" posts and refsue to practice what you preach I will continue mocking you. I'm not in any way intimidated by FFA, nor do I have any interest in being a part of it. I plan on arguing with people and insulting them professionally, and frankly you've displayed little-to-no ability to be witty or win a logical argument.

I hadn't actually written very many fail threads in SEA AA4 (or in SEA A7) prior to your reaction to the Ack/Mountaineers thread. So basically, if you stop acting like a hall monitor I will refrain from writing "fail posts".

By the way...how did the Ack Attack or Horde muck anything up? This started because Ack wrote up a rivalry thread about Ack v. Mountaineers and you decided that wasn't good enough for the forums. I repeat, if you're worried about the integrity of your forums, behave accordingly.

Ill admit thats a pretty good post. However, my manifesto as such for the title of moderator is to stop shitty threads and posts clogging up league forums. If you look at the General Discussions forum youll see exactly what I mean - mods so intent on punishing people for saying "fuck" or having a dig at someone that they have shitty threads right left and centre preventing actual discussion.

For the record rivalry threads are fine - in the playoffs. Before then they dont mean a thing and just act as attention seeking for the owner/gms involved. Threads before the playoffs should be league centric so as to avoid the clutter that drives down forum activity. If you look back at seasons 3-5 we had posts being made ALL the time. That is why I want to be mod - to raise forum activity.

I guess my problem stems from the fact that you're deciding what's pertinent, when. I don't think I'm comfortable with anyone having that job. It was about the history between two teams leading up to a significant regular season game. It's unreasonable and ridiculous to expect every thread to be about all 16 teams in a conference or all 32 teams in a league. Sometimes people will post about upcoming match-ups, and if you don't want to read it that's okay. But, there's an enormous difference between rooting out "FU!" posts, trolls, non-sense and deciding which game-related posts are reasonable at various points in the year.

Frankly, for your own sake and for your own credibility, you should refrain from making subjective decisions like that, no moderator should be making such highly subjective decisions in an attempt to restrict discussion on a forum. There is no way that thread would have had a negative impact on forum activity. The fact that you'd prefer to wait for the playoffs is an irrelevant consideration when locking or ridiculing the thread. I hope you use better and more reasonable judgment in the future.

+1

If anything, I think the thread started out as entertaining, informative and appropriate. It wasn't just some team coming in here from A5, or some other division that's not AA4 - it was a conference team taking about the storied rivalry of another conference team. Too boot, it was well written and accurate - all good things, IMO. Personally, I'd like to see more threads like that, as it gets the forum going and helps you learn a little more about your opponents and their 'history', which can lead to even better forum activity and rivalries.

That's my 2 cents...

The game is boring now...that's why the league forums are dead.

No one gives a fuck anymore...it's rinse/wash/repeat.

Not every forum is dead. Look at AAA2 for instance. It has a lot of former posters from here posting there and keeping the thing alive.

Maybe retire your player(s) for now and play again in a few months? Sucks that you don't enjoy it anymore though.

AAA2 is like a giant mosh pit, you better pick your song wisely or you'll get stomped the fkk out.
