it's looking like its of little consolation to be among the best in Oceania period....other pro teams are killing everyone this season....not to mention one of the stronger teams from the past has already gutted....

Oh, I couldn't agree more. I don't understand why so many teams insist on staying around after being pounded game after game. Hell, barely beating mediocre teams in OPL should justify gutting. Which is why I asked the original question. I mean, if we can't beat you by, oh say ... 17 points ... then I figure we should gut.

I just did ... ... ... wow, you guys haven't been good since Season 3 (though that was a pretty good season).

They've been sandbagging for 5 seasons, tbh...

they beat us and still gutted.....congrats....

That's a weird gut. The owner is gone and no one is listed as a GM, but there are still plenty of non-CPU players on the roster. Someone, or several someones, got screwed.

I dont get it. Why are there so many teams, and so many good teams, gutting this season? Whats the point behind it?

What happened was NYUFresh (owner) had to take over the OC duties because I just didn't have the time anymore. I am the OC for another Pro team and a AAA team and I just got a new job and couldn't spend enough time scouting to do a good job. NYUFresh tried to run the offense but as you can see by our start, he wasn't able to pull it off as he is in his first year of law school. He said he was going to gut and I asked him if I could set the offense one last time and I did for this game and pulled off the victory in our last game as the Devil Dogs. It is a sad day as we took this team from A all the way to the pros, but life just got in the way. An announcement was made in our forums a yesterday and we were going to try and keep it together but the players just wanted to go their separate ways.

I tried to convince everyone to stay until seasons end but it just wasn't going to happen as we even had some in fighting in our forums. So in the end, it was all for the best.

Good luck to everyone, especially SHK, PPC and Osaka. You guys always gave us our toughest challenges and you will be missed!

I didn't fuck anybody over. I ran his team even after I had no more of my own players on the team. He used to be an OC and I almost left after season 7 but I came back for another season. But when I got a new job there was no way I could spend the amount of time necessary to do a good job.
