I responded in the other thread as well, but I wanted to respond to you here too because it's less heated. Sincerest congrats on the win and best of luck getting back there again next season. I wish that other thread hadn't been started; it was out of line by that guy and an opinion not shared by anyone else associated with us.

Season 8 is over!! thank god!

I'm just sad that WSI dominated everyone using regular AI. Nobody even had a CHANCE. Then week 13 rolls around and everyone knows Bort can't switch up the sim now so Islams become prevalent.

Seriously, there is almost no way WSI should have lost most games they did this season. It's sad really lol

We understand. turnit explained in our forum that the guy was new to WSI and had no idea about the Nites history in OPL, etc. We have a ton of respect for the WSI guys. Obviously we are not always going to see things the same way (), but that doesn't change that respect.

I partially agree. The SI Slam definitely evened the playing field, but do not think that WSI is untouchable. They are a very good team, but there are plenty of teams in this game that can give them a run for their money without exploiting the SI Slam. Some teams started to "abuse" it and it became a survival of the fittest where you had to use it if you wanted to win.


I put abuse in quotes because, as far as I am concerned, the play is fair game to be ran into the ground as long as it is part of the game. Shame on Bort for letting that happen.

Me, too. I was laying in bed earlier and couldn't sleep. And here I still am. I may try to go back to bed soon though.

Hey nites, I said this in the other thread that was started by someone I rather not say, GG. I am not going to make any excuses, you guys won. Fair and square. I hope we have a rematch next season and I am looking forward to it. Best of luck, and lets start the offseason recruitment havoc.

Not taking anything away from the Nites, but everyone on the forum gave the championship to WSI before the season even started. I remember threads and posts where Osaka was saying WSI was not untouchable and they had weaknesses but most people didn't agree. A lot of the posts were over the top and maybe not completely serious, but I really don't see how WSI goes 16-0 with only 2 close games to almost losing multiple playoff games.

Oh well, bring on SEASON 9!!

Congrats to both teams for their Conference crowns and to Bonzai for the League Championship!! Great season by both squads.
