- When we add new teams for this off-season, they will be added as CPU-only leagues. We will then release them to new owners over time, throughout the season, following the same rules as above. This will allow the teams to have a full 16-game schedule, but also allow us to control the team market a little better.

Does this mean that some owners in a new league wont get access to their teams until a few games into the season, putting them at a disadvantage?

Or does it mean that entire leagues will be released one at a time.

The whole league will get released at once.

- The only exception to the resale is for inactive owners. We will still give an active GM the option of taking over the team, to encourage continuity on the team. If they don't want it, though, it goes to the top person on the wait list.

If a owner doesn't plan to renew his ownership, is it possible to let the current members in the team, like GM, take over the team?

Case by case is the best answer I can give. Yes, we want to encourage team continuity. We don't want people just adding a GM to their team for the sole purpose of circumventing the system, though.

If a team were sold back and then offered to the first person in line, could they get a chance to review it and possibly turn it down without losing their place in line.

No. We want to streamline it. Having to wait for a bunch of people to accept/reject just takes too long, especially if it goes down the line...waiting 24-48 hours for every person. Teams are a very limited commodity; no chance to be choosy.

Chemistry resets so that shouldn't be too big of a deal.

I do have a question. If the team is in bad debt, can that be fixed as well? I don't think players will want to get a team and it be in bad debt (-500,000 with a loan pending) with stadium upgrades. So if you can look into making sure teams aren't in debt, maybe even consider reseting money for players, that would be great too.

But .. should they get the stadium upgrade in addition to getting the money back? Or reset the stadium as well?

Well that's very true. To be honest, I think stadium should be reset and they should get the money back and the the loan be cancelled. Money should then be reset to 1,000,000 in my opinion. I think that's what teams start out with right? or is it 1.5?

Teams start with zero, unless we added them mid-season (which we won't do any more). They get all their cash through ticket sales.

I guess we could maybe reset the stadium and give them some amount of cash based on how far into the season it is.

Go for it, we're not targeting you with that rule.

The problem is that a lot of teams have been cutting 30 players and then selling the team off recently, leaving the new owner with only a few players on the roster.

Oh I understand the rule, it's just a dumb side-effect of it, that legit teams who just happen to not have 40 players (but still have plenty of depth) have to do that.

How do you have plenty of depth with less than 40 players?

Cosign on this.

Teams shouldnt have less than 40, period.

ah ok. I just remember getting my team and having money, must have been through season ticket sales. =)=)

I'm mainly just talking about when teams are sold back, then players are given that team that are top on the list. That team could be in horrible debt. Are you going to leave it and let them try to get some money from season ticket sales? Or reset it all to 0 and then they can start from scratch like normal teams, with the possibility of already having human players on the team.

That could work if the season is going on, if it's the off-season then maybe reset it to 0 etc... and then they can start fresh with the team.

As far as the stadium goes doesn't it depend on the league you are in and the level of your players? With salary minimums and buying a team with a large payroll you are going to need an expanded stadium to begin with. You are being setup for failure otherwise I would think.

Well I can see that. I guess it's fine then. You just might get people buying teams that is in bad debt with big salaries ...and hell could have a small stadium which wouldn't be good. But, I guess in those rare cases bort would take care of it for them.

GREAT IDEA!

There is a problem though... 3 days inactive and your off the list? Maybe that should be bumped to something a little more reasonable like 5 days?

Just because of business trips, weekend get aways or even a hellish work week that prevents a normally very active and "veteran" player from getting a team that he or she probably deserves. 3 days just seems a little steep.

Love the idea though...

Will the 500fp be in addition to the 1000fp for the team, or rolled in when you actually get a team?
I've been saving my last 1000fp for a while now...

Rolled in - you will need to pay 500 to get on the list and then 500 when you get the team.
