i'm not sure i'd be bragging about only winning by 16 in a scrimmage that you obviously cared very deeply about and probably gameplanned for when the team you were playing was fucking around running the ball half the time with his quarterback.

oh and three of your wins last season were against gutted teams, so that's basically 4-9. so yeah, there is absolutely no question that only losing once in BBB1 alpha is more impressive, since going 7-9 with 3 of the wins coming against gutjobs is absolutely 0% impressive.

If you look back to the thread that got our scrimmage game scheduled in the first place you would see two teams talking shit to each other... Why wouldn't we have some assemblance of a gameplan? Then, McGovern was talking more shit than anyone about how Alpha is so much better than Zeta, why wouldn't he gameplan in a Zeta Vs. Alpha matchup? If not for any other reason than bragging rights... FYI, he was sure as hell letting us know that he beat us in a scrimmage game 2 seasons ago,kind of hypocritical of him to say it didn't matter after he lost isn't it?

Hypocritical or convienient, take your pick I guess.

He could not beat us in any game. If he could have he would have. Its that simple. He obviously took a chance and it failed. I have seen this behavior before when I used to box. When a fighter smiles after you know you rung his bell, he just confirmed that you rung his bell.

Mcgovern10 tried to play it off with his loud jokes about how he was just messing around. Trust me had he pulled it off, we would never hear the end of it. He failed and that was that. He continues to try to cover it up after one lucky win in Alpha. Big deal everybody wins a game or two. He does not impress me at all. He is weak and only weaker people would think he is more than he is.

Sorry, Mcgovern10. I just call it how I see it. I never heard anybody talk so much trash after losing before. If I did I would knock them out again. Get over your loss and we will let you be. Damn, maybe we should play again and throw it for you so you can be quiet, like a good baby.

i don't doubt that he was probably trying to make his retarded qb work to use in specific situations in future games, but i doubt very strongly that he would have benched his well built pocket passer in favor of an experimental hybrid that mainly just ran the ball in a game he was trying to win.

if you wanna take stock in scrimmages, you lost to cowthorpe by 7. eca beat them by 41 when he didn't play that stupid qb.

oops sorry, didn't mean to get in the middle of a peeing contest...just saying hello to angry (i'm not trolling by the way, i do have a player in this league).

That "Stupid QB" is level 40+. Our highest guy is what 33? 34? He's got 10 levels on us. What's your point?

Yep any team can win at any time. Mcgovern10 keeps bringing me back into this conversation. I was finished with the game about 10 minutes after it was over. If he would stop bringing my team into his trash talk I would let him be. I wish he were online to reply but oh, well. His team might have had a better game vs us but he tried to pull a fast one and it backfired. I see it all the time. Usually in the playoffs.

i agree, because he shouldn't have stood a chance (and didn't) by benching his passing qb in favor of one that can't really run or pass very well.

you just don't do that in a game you're trying to win. you don't experiment with a 100% brand new offense you've never used before to "try to catch you off guard" because there will inevitably be major flaws in it. this is why you do things like this in...scrimmage games, because it doesn't matter if you win them. good teams use them to try different AI settings rather than as a penis waving competition.

Only 2 of theirs wins were vs gutted teams, with the other 5 vs teams that would easily make the playoffs in BBB1 and a couple that would dominate more then ECA. They were also competitive in a lot of their losses too...we can go into all the details you want...conclusion won't change

Here is a little history lesson between Mcgovern10 and me. In our first expansion season Jackdaddy had some sort of connection to his team. Jackdaddy is an agent on my team and has become a real good friend of mine on GLB. He mentions it would be fun to scrimmage Mcgovern10's team. So we do.

Mcgovern10 sends me a PM before the game asking if we would be interested in testing stuff. It sounded like a good idea because both our teams were not doing well at that point. Well he gave me his basic game plan and asked me if I would use cover 3 becasue I guess thats what he was preparing his offense for in his next game. I don't know. Well I never used this coverage before or after that game. I don't care for it because I am not comfortable with it.

Long story short his team thrashed the Steel Rain. Well that was that and we went on to win out in our league and we got into the playoffs. We then got promoted to this league. I guess his team did not do so well. Anyways, he gets to this league and brings up how he beat us like he accomplished something. Some trash talk went back and forth and we set up a scrimmage.

I don't understand if he wanted to continue talking trash why did he not just beat us. I mean if its that easy why not just do it? I'm not buying his excuses. He gave us his all and failed. If he didn't want to hear otherwise he should have won the game. Why take the challenge?

If it were anybody else I might buy this but he already pulled this before. I play scrimmages all the time. I test stuff also. I never go into the forums and talk trash afterwards. He started it and I am only replying. Why should I have to defend winning? I guess I should have just lost the game.
