- Coming into this season, the Devils had the highest overall player average, the Pigs were 2nd, the Headhunters were 3rd, etc. So PRESEASON rankings had a lot to do with that. The Greats were 6th, so that's primarily why they didn't start out the season at #1. - There are a few other things I factor in to my power rankings . . . things that I have seen have an effect on the game.

Now . . . you can either put together a formula that takes ALL of that into account, and base your rankings on that, or you can decide that the best teams are based on who won what from the previous seasons. I know from history that my approach tends to be a bit more accurate. So if you want to move up the rankings . . . win your games, score more points, and keep the other team from scoring as much. It's really pretty simple.

As an example: So far this season, I will give you that the Greats have played the hardest schedule (of the undefeated teams), but they are also 3rd in scoring and 3rd in points allowed. Sorry . . . that doesn't earn you a #1 spot. I imagine if you guys keep going the way you are, however, that the #1 spot is well within reason. Are you really that bent out of shape that you don't have it in week-freaking-four of the season?

Devils - probably the best team in AAA 2, at worst 2nd best
Peckerwoods - This team is legit and has only lost to the two best teams in Lion.

Devils
Greats - obviously a powerhouse, and lost by 1 point in a shootout
Drive-by - smacked around this decent team
Peckerwoods - smacked around this quality team

Pigs
have beat a promoted AA team and not decisively, their TD with 2 min left makes it look a lot less close, besides that they haven't even played another team with any playoff potential

Headhunters
have beat a promoted AA team

Note: Obviously pre-season rankings are pretty meaningless. These are based almost wholly on scouting and overall player levels for each team. I'll put a new list out after our first regular season game.

So if the preseason rankings are so meaningless why do they basically determine where everyone is ranked now? Because you have no other reason to have the Pigs and Headhunters at the top.

Hoss is much more popular out West, damn East coast biased rankings.

AVG lvl, stats so far, a fresh look from a new person to this league. Coming with no prior knowledge, and as he said not factoring that in, he said that. Kudos to him for having a structure to his opinion other than,, "omg whose super awesome". Please stop from thinking you mean anything to people who want to post and interact with their own opinions to enjoy this damn game, your a depressing turd. Keep posting from your high walled cube while you spend so much time posting to people you don't give 2 shits about.

I would put Greats and Devils 1,2 as well, but if you let the guy breathe and enjoyed his effort you'd enjoy some effort in this forum to add. As he said,, take the effort to post anything of substance if you care so much, that has any interest besides trying to make yourself look grandiose to satisfy yourself. OH my,, MY LB had 14 tackles 1k PD's,,, TIME TO POST, take anytime to do anything besides work on making yourself feel good?
