I don't know if any other teams of Tongas caliber has folded in the past, but I think there should be a stickied thread put up after this season for Tonga (and any other elite teams of the past) just containing a brief write up of their history/accomplishments/etc. to keep a running history of past great teams in Oceania Pro. Maybe something along these lines - I have only done season one and was just jotting some things down as I looked through their team.

I will note that some of the teams names have changed so if you remember them let me know and I can edit (or you can copy and paste and edit). Also, I don't know the official date on when McGruff bought the team as I saw an earlier post in the thread of someone saying they were a member pre-TITS but any accurate information would be appreciated.

Tongo Ikale Tahi ("TITS") and
Coach McGruffHawk have opted to call it quits after season seven and while some of us will not miss the beatings most of us will miss the team, agents, and especially the classy ownership brought forward by this team (I'm such a fucking liar!!!). With such a successful team it would be a shame for them to go out without giving them a little something back and this is my way of showing my appreciation to the team whom I considered a rival through many seasons of GLB combat (it still stings me thinking about the season three conference final you dirty sons of a guns!!
).
Through seven seasons TITS compiled an 80-6 regular season mark and a 14-5 playoff record (add in S7 totals after the completion of S7).. TITS won three conference championships (S1 AA Alpha Conference, S3 AAA #1 Alpha Conference, and the S4 Pro League Alpha Conferene) and one league title (S3 Oceanai AAA +1). Few in Oceania can match up with the overall record of the TITS so let's take a look at how their seasons went in a brief season by season capsule.
Season One:
5-1 Regular Season Record.
3-1 Playoff Record.
Conference Championship.
Lost in League Title Game.TITS was had their first game on April 2, 2008 in the Oceania AA Alpha Conference and wasted little time establishing themselves as a team to be reckoned with. TITS won their opening ball game over the Las Vegaas Villains by the score of 17-3. CPU FB Fred Baer will forever go down scoring the TITS first TD a three yard TD plunge.
TITS first TD (by a CPU player - good Lord!!!):
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=7266&pbp_id=644922TITS would go onto to finish the regular season at 5-1 and spark their rivalry with the Mean Machine who they took out 17-7 in game number five. TITS would grab the top seed for the playoffs and sweep through the conference before they would end up losing the league championship. With the win, TITS started their move toward Oceania Pro and didn't look back. With season one under wraps it showed a few things. One, TITS was going to be a power in Oceania; two, TITS was going to be a defensive orientated team; and TITS was going to have best name in the region. The defense really showed up in the early stages of this team as the D allowed only 9.0 ppg while shutting out two of their six regular season opponents.
RB Ace Taminophen would lead the offense on the season as he rushed for 470 yards on 94 attemtps (5.0 ypc/78.3 ypg) while scoring one rushing TD. Under center at the time was QB Charlie Fry (who has since been retired). Fry did his best to keep the O balanced as he completed 96 of 174 passes for 817.5 yards with six TD's and seven picks. I feel like I am watching Cheers when talking about the D as the front seven were led by LB's Cliff Clavin (23 tackles - 3rd high on team) and Norm Peterson (29 tackles - team high). The secondary was led by tOmas smith who racked up a team high with his two picks, eight passes defended and finished second on the team in tackles with 24 stops.
While season one was a success the TITS had plenty of bounce left in them heading into season two and beyond.

Season Two:Even though the TITS moved up into a new league they were still expected to compete and contend for the title. Things started out a bit slow as they started the season off with a 1-1 record. However, as soon as the four point loss occurred at the hands of the Brantford Mustangs the TITS reeled off 14 straight to close out the regular season. It was the TITS O who got a lot of credit as they averageed 44 ppg through the regular season but it was the D once again who stood loud and proud giving up only 3.8 ppg. The D yielded only one TD on the season (the only other TD scored was on a pick six against Brandtford in game two).
With such a dominating performance after the early loss the TIT were primed to make another jump. The opening round win over the Fakaofo Bomb Squad went off without PickUpHere...
Season Three:Season Four:Season Five:Season Six:Season Seven:GREAT TITS: With the TITS going away several players will not be soon forgotten and while we won't go through the entire roster since season one we'll take a moment to honor some of the more memorable players during their TITS careers. (team should be able to provide a list of their top 10 players).
RB Corvette Jones: Jones joined the TITS in season two and has been a workhorse ever since. Jones played in 96 regular season games and rushed for ____ yards and ___ TD's (to add in after the completion of S7).
RB Ace Taminophen:
WR Dread Loose: Loose busted loose in all 102 regular season games and is the TITS all time leading WR with ___ catches for ____ yards and __ TD's.
