We are talking the best of the best guys lol. Ringo was a studio musician in the right place at the right time. He could basically count to 4 at the same pace everytime.
I think he was more than that, but w/e. He does a lot of subtle things that are great. Also the Beatles hated solos/"extra notes" so it wasn't their style to do awesome drum fills. But I'm sure you probably know that.
