I certainly dont see the Commandos as 6.5 pts ahead of the Mutineers! This next two games for us (Ringriders and Mutineers) will probably provide the truest reflection of the situation in our conference.....going to be an interesting few days!! Will the Commandos struggle and fall back into the pack or power on to the top of the tree?!!

well im not taking anything away from the mutineers, they have a clean record so far, and their points tally will represent it more when they get the big points vs the other top 6 teams.
as for the commandos, they got a lot of points for defeating a lot of high quality opponents - frankfurt, marseille, glasgow, rekyavik and dublin.
the highest scoring game by my system to date has been bow street's victory over belfast, interestingly enough.

I think you played pretty much as well as you could at the time, as did we - you did after all get over 400 yards against what I would call a decent defense. Oh, and your opponents went for more 2nd down FGs in OT than you did, so that's not exactly a great argument on your side...

Right now, teams as they are, I'd go in confident that we'd win comfortably, so I'll quit dwelling on a tied game where things didn't go right for either team.
I'm not denying that you have a very strong team, and we may not get far enough to ever meet you again, but I think both teams played a pretty good match. Our kicking was well below par though, and that alone cost us the win. Tough luck, and shit does happen - but that game was ours more than it was yours.

new listings!
the mutineers win over rekyavik gives them the edge up top. below them, glasgow, frankfurt, and the spaniards are over achieving (actual place higher than my ratings put them), with lyon, marseille and limerick placed lower than they deserve in the league.
a shock win by limerick over glasgow keeps them in the running for the playoffs.
Mutineers 57.5
Commandos 57
Breakers 53
Runners 53
Crusaders 51
Ringriders 47
Argonauts 40
Lazytowners 29
Lions 29
Bulls 24
Vikings 22
Wildcats 17
Warriors 10
Red Devils 6
Kodiaks 5
Dusters 0
as for new standings compared to the last round, no major changes, but a few reshuffles. most notably Ikk Fu take their place at the top, and bow street edge out the crusaders.
the next few games sees a lot of action, with Ikk Fu facing 3 tough opponents. will they lose their unbeaten run?

Great work, thanks again!
I guess Commandos losing today also played a part in Mutineers taking over the lead

Huge matchup this week as The Vatican Paladins take on the Berlin Stormtroopers. Both teams are 8-2 and the Paladins are on a 7 game win streak. Will the Paladins live up to their hype or will the Stormtroopers put them in their place?

As I said the other day, the games against Ringriders and Mutineers will decide our season....we lost the first so now we gotta pick ourselves up and head into the top of the table clash against the Mutineers....I wonder if the points system giving them a half point lead will prove accurate!!

What did you think of our match? I was very happy with our defense, and I think our offense looked quite sharp too, with good yardage even though the pass completion wasn't spectacular, and our rushes were almost completely shut down till late in the match.

Its getting close to playofftime with only a few games left now.
In alpha conference we will have a top fight between IKK FU Ringriders and Belfast Commandos which if Rabid mutineers win will secure their conference victory.
Another topgame is Bow Street Runners vs Rinkenęs Ringriders.
Both teams certainly want a win to avoid getting into the playoff fight that several teams are part off now. And i got a feeling this game gonna be great to watch.
Frankfurt Crusaders is probably gonna secure their playoff spot as they meet Dublin Bulls.
Both the french team Lyon and Marseille is meeting one of the weakest teams and most likely is gonna win.
The same goes for Glasgow.
Reykjavik Lazytowners and Spaniard Warriors meet in a crucial game, as the loser most likely is gonna lose their chance for the playoff.
Limerick will still hang on back there as they got weak Rotterdam.
In zeta conference the topgame is between the The Vatican Paladins and Berlin Stormtroopers. Though they are almost certainly in the playoffs allready, they fight to get into the top4.
BC Crew meets the conference jumbo and gets an easy win.
Topteam Cardiff Bluebirds meet Tranmere Titans, and i don't see them starting to lose now. Which means Tranmere's playoff spot is gonna be in risk soon.
Drunken Lunatics Beer has the London Rippers who also needs to avoid losing or their playoff spot will also be in risk.
Dublin Fighting Irish meets their neighbour the Dublin Shamrocks.
Shamrocks desperatly needs this win to get into the playoffs while the Fighting Irish can with a victory here relax with a playoff spot almost in their pocket.
Buffalo Buffalos are the other team with a chance to steal a playoff spot, and as they are meeting weak Kilkenny Sidhe they should be closer after this round.
Otherwise 4 of the lower teams are meeting eachother in a fight over nothing but glory.

I'm not denying that you have a very strong team, and we may not get far enough to ever meet you again, but I think both teams played a pretty good match. Our kicking was well below par though, and that alone cost us the win. Tough luck, and shit does happen - but that game was ours more than it was yours.
Again, absolutely no respect shown to your opposition. There'll always be an excuse as to why you didn't win this game or that game... FWIW, the tied game was the one and only game we decided to experiment, and it backfired. We played shit, and it was my fault. You live, you learn, but we won't make the same mistake again.
Hopefully we get the chance to pummel the Ringriders arse in the playoffs. I'm done on this topic...
