LST huh? Ever hear the story about the USS Fresno in the Typhoon? When the bow ramp flipped out and broke the bow doors open in 30 foot waves? 2 Deck guys went out on the structure in the front and wrapped the anchor chain around them and pulled them closed some how. Absolutely insane, and a true story. they were part of our Float.

I was on the USS LaMoure County Before it was wrecked and decommissioned in 2000. I was on it the fall of 1998. I never did here of the Fresno but will look it up. I was also on the USS Ashland (LSD) For a MED. I am glad to see some one who knows what I am talking about thou... sometimes...lol
Yeah so? We all know you out lvl everyone not a big deal.
Actually we don't out level everyone in this league, but it's good that you're already thinking ahead. You'll need at least one good excuse for the loss.

We don't make excuses. If you are looking to pick a fight with me you are barking up the wrong tree. You don't bother me at all. Keep talking I rather enjoy it.
I know I'm a bit late on the military conversation but I was in the U.S. Army from 2000 until 2004. I did two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. I was in communications setting up satcom links. I was injured in Iraq on my second tour and med boarded out 3 months before my 4 years was up. We used to let guys from all branches of the military us our links to call home whenever they wanted. We had a group of Marines that made some calls before they were KIA in Iraq. They were ambushed by the Iraqi's pretending to surrender. My tour in Afghan was from March 2002 to November 2002 and on our flight back to the states they diverted us to Kuwait.. I spent from November 2002 until July 2003 in Kuwait/Iraq. Came home for 4 months until November 2003 and got deployed again to Iraq until May 2004. I spent time in 286th Signal Co. and 11th Signal Brigade.
I'll tell you that there is no better feeling than climbing up a 200 foot tower to replace an antenna. Knowing that you are an easy target for anyone with a decent shot. The climb itself gives you plenty of time to think.
