Putting a smiley face doesn't provide a free pass after making a comment. You may have been playing, as you insist, but Sprovo was being real. He didn't insult you, but he did tell you two things that have a lot of truth to them.

ya know, i read the forums constantly, but rarely comment. and all it seems to me to be is a lot of trash talking and bragging by the vacationers. now, granted, you are allowed bragging right when you are the defending champs (we'll get you next time) and still undefeated this season, but is it really necessary to talk THAT much?? Its a fun game that tons of people enjoy, but by constantly putting others down you cause them to not even want to play anymore, especially the ones on teams that are not doing very well this season to begin with. Its a game, thats all it is. And believe me, i am one of the most competitive people you will ever meet, and absolutely hate losing, but its just not cool to rub it in to teams that you know are significantly worse. Sure, trash talk, brag, etc with teams of your caliber, but for the teams that are under .500 or so, just give them some pointers and say congrats on playing a good game and let that be it.

I agree, it is sweeter to let the defeted comment on the game.

I look at teams like the Rivals Mainboard Pimps and see the threads that are created after every victory, or I see posts like what I saw posted in another league earlier this week where an owner made a spoof power rankings thread ranking his team number one with a giant ASCII middle finger for everyone else, and I think to myself how much I really hate that kind of shit.

So when I read this post, I tried to recall first who all from the Vactioners tends to post here. I know Painmaker and littleone do and the owner of Ryan K posted some during the playoffs last season. Then there is myself who shows up now and then and Sprovo will even make an appearance if something gets under his skin or provoked. I started thinking and trying to remember if any of us had ever done shit like that. It doesn't really come to mind, but what pisses me off and what pisses you off might be two different things.

I can't speak for my teammates, but I am never going to gloat about crushing a team that is developing. However, in the case of NWO a lot of us felt what was done the previous game with Moscow was crap. I never try to come off as an instigator, but if you mention my team you will hear from me and you can interpret what I say however you choose.

Er, well, actually... YES! Eastern Europe AAA is a subforum worth reading. Just check out Western Europe AA to see what complete boredom looks like. I look forward to clicking on this forum when I log in because I know there'll be something enjoyable and interesting to read. That doesn't just happen without some work by the people contributing, which I appreciate and try to return in kind.

Maybe I've got a blind eye to this one, but I don't see myself or any other Vacationers bothering the weak, quiet teams - we talk smack with the other guys talking smack and especially with the guys who are doing well. That's not because we're particularly considerate for the weak of heart (I'm not) but because it's no fun to trade jabs with someone who's already on the floor. Seriously, please PM me of any incident where a Vacationer initiated bashing of a "weaker" team - the only somewhat close thing I can think of is the brief, measured response in kind to NWO after they picked on another sub-.500 team. If we've done it anywhere else I must have been unacceptably oblivious and I'll gladly apologize.

I have never said anything bad or talked any smack to any team that was struggling or rebuilding, I do how ever like to talk smack. but only if they start it, or I'm bored and your team must be able to compete (but not if you start it, all bets are off then)
