Memphis Maulers = 2007 Patriots (Phenomenal game-planning, roster of starters)
Also I want to thank you for the comments. We have a great staff and a system we run. I am very proud of Memphis as a whole, but we still have some games to win and our focus is soley on our next opponent. You guys put it on us today. I was stressing this one big time. Laval is always a tough out and the game could have honestly gone either way. Great job on your Defense for one, holding us to 31 points and your offense even though held to 27 was persistent as hell and never gave up.
We played our role as the 2007 Indianapolis Colts to a tee. Made the GLB happy with a close, back-and-forth game that was sure to sell ads BIG TIME. Good luck in the Semis (and probably Championship game).
So, no interest whatsoever in declaring MVPs and Owner of the Year.
Just thought it'd be fun to have a vote rather than naming them myself and getting flamed a ton.
In my opinion:
Offensive CoMVPs - Yellowknife RBs Mike Triplett and Marshawnn Lynch Both put up MVP-caliber numbers on their own, but together you can see why Yellowknife may remain undefeated all season long through the playoffs.
Defensive MVP - Tradewest CB Splice Jenkins 25 interceptions is absurd. 25 receptions and 7 TD would make him the third best RECEIVER on most teams in the league.
Owner of the Year - Vortex of Marley's Pot Puffing Ingredients 9-7 and playoffs is no joke in the Western Conference. To do that with a roster of all level 21s and 22s is nothing short of game-planning genius.
Feel free to send some actual votes in if you have different opinions, or we can just informally discuss candidates on the forum and select that way...
