Amazing game, Linesteppers. After the fourth (or was it fifth?) turnover we had before the end of the second quarter I kind abandoned all hope.

Yeah, that was pretty fucked up. We got screwed on the thing you were just talking about. Went for it on 4th down from our 8. Yeah right...I don't have anything in the AI set for that at all. Way to hang in there though. It would have been easy for your team to give up after all of those turnovers. You hung tough and let us mess it up for ourselves. GG!

This game is unreal.

You guys manage to tie it up with a minute left in the fourth quarter. We get it to fieldgoal range (your 28) and with 39 seconds left and somehow it's not enough time to kick the fieldgoal!?

We force a very quick three and out in overtime, break off big run after big run to get it into fieldgoal range. I'm thinking in my head, "I wonder if I should have AI here in OT within this range just to take the 99% chance fieldgoal.."

AND THEN WE FUMBLE AND LOSE THE BALL ON YOUR NINE.

Force another three and out.. and manage to run it home for the TD.

Whoa.

I need to check some AI stuff as well... two instances in which we could have just won the game before we almost gave it back away. Yikes. My team would have had my head.

Believe me, I know...I was waiting for you guys to just kick a FG in OT. Gave you way too many chances. I also would have liked to go for the TD in regualtion, but a setting we had from getting screwed before led us to kick a FG for the tie with 1:02 left and sitting on the 23 yard line. Live and learn I guess. I know it will be a good rematch if we meet in the playoffs.

Goodness.. I'm still just digesting this. We had 4 fumbles, 3 interceptions. Holy shit.

You guys also had 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles (fortunately, for you, 0 lost).

That...is pretty insane. Talk about an ulcer inducing game.

Do you guys watch the game as it's simming? Or are you just talking about afterward you go in and watch it play by play?

I watch the play by play replays of the games that I think will be "good games" and for the others I just check the league page for the scores.

Edit: Wow looks like Boston had a helluva game today as well.

I typically watch the play-by-play animation so I can watch for any particular plays being ridiculously effective or ineffective through the course of a game.

I also like the suspense, and as Elissidel mentioned, the ulcers.

Yeah, I do the same, but I thought you guys were watching them WHILE they were still simming.

Ya, we got lucky against Boston just as it seems the Caps did against the Linesteppers. 38 secs left in the 4th and we are down by 3 and end up having to punt it away. Then by some miracle we force a fumble, recover and kick the FG to go into OT. Then in OT we start out getting sacked twice but then being able to convert a 3rd and 20 and take it down for the winning FG. I had a massive coronary in that game and have no idea how or why I'm still living and breathing.

Great game Boston. You guys had that game. Great game planning for sure. Just 1 bad play allowed us to win it.
