i have a new team with rookie players. since it was virtually impossible to sign free agents, i had to build my team. i have 4 active players and rest are mine. out of 400 contract offers, i had 2 join, and one of them was a Mizzou tiger fan, so he was joining regardless, i even offered a level 1 lb 40K plus 8K signing, and still no dice.

Some of the newbies made no sense, didnt take the solid $ with big signing$, but took less $ to be 3rd string on a stud team. Why? because they wanted to play in USA league  It's a simulation league, your really not playing in USA, wankers. I could of made my team, Mizzou Tigers, but kept with Euro theme, and this league and forums seem very active, which is nice.

i tried for 2 weeks to get a FS, no dice, and had to make one. Even the CPU players were getting too much in contracts for me to sign!

Whatever you have done - man your nearly bankrupt !!!!!!!!!!!!!
552b $ cash left ????????
weŽre not even half through the season !

i built my stadium up.

after tomorrows game, ill be in +, and will be for rest of season.

i dont get it?

i should of ran more. even though my QB is level 9, i think he has a weak build. the backup has been better when he's played.

i would of loved to be able to have more players involved, but i cant sit on puter al lday trying to get Free agents. after going 2 for 400+ offers, i decided to build my own team. i can trade some of them next year for depth and active players.
I also didnt plan on forking out a bunch of $$ to play a sim game. ( hell i get all of Sports interactive sims for free).

we played our defense to stop the pass. and i went more pass than run, my mistake.

2 out of 400+ ???
Wow thats discouraging.

Luckily i started with a bunch of guy from the Atlanta Falcons Message Board and tis season I bought the Hamburg Lightning to give our unhappy 2nd and 3rd stringers a chance to start.
The core of our team is build upon those players and additionally some guys from my football team joined here too.
Recently I was able to sign a number of free agents especially at RB, O Line and CB.
Luckily we have some depth at D-Line.

And given that you didnt had the luck to start with some friends you team is really doing well !

regarding the game:
THis was a close one - the first half you dominated us and stopped us from scoring.
But in the 2nd half the lack of depth with quality players came back to haunt you - just like on our side. The reason why we came back a little is our depth and also the reason why we lost.
Our depth guys were exhausted the same way as our starters were but also inexpirienced because why are guys we develop from level 1.
After all a close game and a tough match !

i missed out on signing friends and buddies players, they played in season 1. and are contracted. i tried to trade for 2 of their guys, but owners wanted 150-200K for level 4 players. One wanted 300K for a level 5 DT. it was really bad trying to sign players, all i got in response, was can you move your team to USA leagues. Which is told them no, then explained that its fantasyland, this isnt a real game, your not playing in the united states. I had had enough. and my team got blasted by perminian. really bad. i said screw this, im going to help my team.

having that many players on my team shows commitment. the cost clearly states i want to play, enjoy the game, and win.

Honestly, i wish i could of let all my guys start at level 1 and work themselves up, then boost them after season, etc. But the league had many teams with level 8+ players, and didnt want to see 100-0 games. All of the players who i signed were level 1 players who are leveling up nicely, would of saved me Mucho deniro if i would of been able to do the same.

getting beat 60-0 isn;t fun. i seen a team who tried to start from beginning, sign, improve team without building, and they are getting beat by 60++ a game. one game they gave up 130. That aint fun. Wouldnt be fun beating teams like that.

They should of put all the new teams/owners in bottom leagues. so everyone had same chance to improve game by game. leveling off game by game

good game, hopefully well see you guys in the playoffs after one of us knocks off the panthers!

Finally!! It's been a tough season (1-8). But we are finally a %100 human team. CPU's regardless of their level have been cut to make room. I own, I believe 7 players, four of which are starters. Building for next year has become our focus. Thankfully my brother is my GM and has tried to learn as much as possible.

We are both totally addicted to this game.

I just hope we can recover from the losses soon
At the end of the season i will put all the remaining money into the stadium and hope that weŽll get a lot more cash out of it

now, i offer 4 FA, all 4 accept.

all level 1's and 2's. adds depth and they get pt, so they should level up nicely to finish up season

First i tried to get some high Level FAs for a fair price - didnt work.
Then I tried to sign some mid level FAs - aound Level 4 to 8 - didnt work either.

After that I focused on Level 1 to 4, looked up their activities and ALSO IMPORTANT - how many guys the User of the player had - found out that Level 1, 1 player per User guys are more likely to sign than anybody else.
You can give them fair contract ( I offer slightly above minimum salary and a bit cash for equipment ) and often enough they dont care about the league they play in.

This still doesnt mean that you dont have to make hundreds of offers - but overall I never was near 100 offers sent

i seriously offered over 500 contracts to date

i had 3 accept. i was giving solid cash, nothing silly, and nice up front $. they all wanted to play in USA

this next batch of FA players are much smarter, and accpeting. i got this guy to accept, then got his WR to sign, then his buddy wants to have his RB sign on as #3 rb. if this would of happened earlier, wouldnt of had to make so many guys, just make what we needed.

thankfully this new breed of players arent as silly as the preseason free agents were.

ps some of these owners are also to blame. 80K for a level 1 punter??? hes going to average 14 yards a kick for first season. well worth that $
