Well, remember it's illegal to hunt Hawks. Though birds of prey do feed on Monkeys and Ducks.....

ahem....did you forget we beat you guys last year and have beat Oregon both times we have faced them? AND we just got new duck hunting rifles!

I don't really see what you beating us has to do with who wins the East. But cheap shot noted, Also last year =/= this year, this isn't college football where your record from last year determines where you are this year.

Unlike College,we don't lose our most experienced players each year, we have less turn over. The only point made was, don't expect to Bitch slap the East, it was no cheap shot, the cheap shot was to everyone else in the east by you.

This captures exactly my point. What I was saying (and read further up where I state that I feel Oregon was rated way to low) is that we have proven ourselves to be a good team in A1 and to say that we are going to be "bitch slapped" by Oregon is a cheap shot towards us. I was merely pointing out that we have been able to game plan effectively so far against Oregon and expect to still be at the least competitive with them and not just get beat down...

Actually, saying you'll be bitch slapped by Oregon, was meant as a pun, that no one seemed to catch onto. Also, if you didn't understand my "college" comment, which quite obviously evidenced by your rebuttal, you didn't, it was meant to point out that pre-season rankings in CFB are largely based on where you finished last year <,<.

Also, if you really think it was meant as a cheap shot, take off the epic serious glasses, and come join us here where we're more pun and fun based.

/sigh Another case of people getting all too serious all to fast.

Follow the thread of the conversation. You started with Bitch slap. I rebutted with a few facts (the one with our record vs you a /poke /poke thinking you would come back with season 4's result) and a comment about a duck hunting rifle. You rebutted with a college reference and a mention of a cheap shot, whereas Rhuin stated how this was not like college. You now state that the previous years finish bases pre-season rankings but not taking into account that while we lost in the first round, it was to the eventual conference champions.

Now - read through the timeline - go ahead and clarify your previous post all you want, however remember, this followed the direction that you set forth with your comment and each reply was based on specific comments of yours. So if you want to talk about getting serious, making puns and having fun - first examine yourself within the mirror, because those who live in glass houses.....

Until oregon, beats someone other than the Wafers, they are in my eyes, barely third behind NY.

Please refrain all serious talk and/or puns until Day 1, season 6. Nuff said.

Top Three in the West:

Austin Lonhorns
Oklahoma City Spartans
Little Haiti Voodoo

After that it seems fairly even so 4-8 should be interesting to see. Good luck to everyone in the new season (except when you play us)

Looks like you got your rifle ready to hunt some Ducks, Monkeys and Nighthawks! Fear the Kitty with the rifle!

Well, since no one tried to do the west, I'll give it a shot. We played in BBB#2 and A#1 Western conference, so we have played a little over 2/3 of the teams. With that knowledge base, this is how I think it will play out:

1. Austin Longhorns (Hard to find a weakness, and they put together a game plan that slaughtered the Spartans and played the Thunder as close as any team in A#1 that lost to them.)
2. OTR (Everyone loves to hate this team from what I've seen, but I can assure you they are tough. They will not back down from a challenge, and that is a good thing in this league.)
3. Little Haiti (I just couldn't talk myself into dropping them any lower. Very good team with upper level game planning.)
4. Las Vegas Heat (One of the best defense in BBB#2 for several seasons now, the Heat will bring absolutely stellar game planning on that side of the ball to this league. They slip a bit due to the fact that the new OAI is so far ahead of what defenses have to combat it with.)
5. OKC Spartans (I'm unsure where the Spartans fit, but I can't see them slipping past #5. They have the talent, but they have some slip ups in game planning from time to time that leaves you scratching your head. If they can get more consistency in their game planning, no ranking is out of their reach.)
6. South Otto (They gave OTR all they wanted during the regular season and stormed through everyone else in BBB#1. I think that level and depth will catch up to them in this deep of a league.)
7. Houston Gamblers (They have just enough talent to be capable of taking down anyone at any time. The Gamblers may not WOW anyone, but these guys know how to game plan. I hate having them this low, but that's just a sign of the new world order with the reorg.)
8. Humpers (I'm going to give NBGTTH the nod here. They have been a top team in BBB#2 since it's inception. I'm not sure where their depth has went, but I think there's still enough on the team to get it done.)
9. Omaha Mavericks
10. Allen Zephyrs
11. USA Eagles
12. Riders
13. Omaha Beef
14. Bay Area
15. The Militia
16. Steel City

Fire away. That's my best guess.

Jearly, I gave too many clues away. You should have picked up on the clues. Go back and read both of my sentences.

I find it interesting that we beat two of the teams ahead of us last year.

Our passing game sucked against better teams last year, between the addition of Hestter and some fixes to Richardson's build I'm fairly confident that won't be as big an issue.

Who knows though, it's a totally different collection of teams so it's a bit of a crap shoot.

Overall, I think the rankings are good, but I would put you guys higher. I think your team will be in the top 3. It should be an interesting season. There are 6 teams that we haven't seen so there will be more gameplanning going on this season.

I follow it just fine, I see no pun intended in your rebuttal, nor do I see any playfulness. So, you may want to work on your verbatim. I didn't realize that the college reference would be so hard to get, I naturally assumed people would get the connection with the title Pre-Season Rankings, quite obviously, I was incorrect in this assumption, and for that I will apologize. Also, I've noted you're really good at stating the obvious. I am both shocked and amazed that a reply to my post, would be based on comments I made. Truly a mind-blowing observation. Was I replying to your specific comments, or something else? You know, I just want to make sure we're all on the same page here and we can get the obvious out of the way. Anyway, it's obvious this thread has digressed to a point in which it does not matter. So I'll talk to you again in AA#1(where you belong)
