The idea behind soft capping attributes doesn't have anything to do with say 49 agility being better than 42 agility, it's maximizing growth through leveling. Every time you level, you get .4 agility as an OT. 42 might be ok for now, but remember speed/agility are the main stats for a DE, that's where his equipment most likely will go and DE's get .5 to both speed and agility on level up whereas OT's get 0 speed. Point being, sooner or later you're going to need agility over 50, so would you rather pay 1 SP for it early and then let the level ups take care of the rest or would you rather the level ups take care of the 1 SP's and spend 2 SP to fix it later?

How to deal with the insane speed DE's is debatable, however. The obvious answer would be to get more speed/agility so they can't run around you, but Im kinda curious if vision would allow the OT to determine which way the DE was going to go and allow you to cut him off?

In order of importance:

Strength/Blocking
Agility
Speed

So plan on getting to soft-caps for all 4 of those attributes. And you ignore getting confidence to a soft-cap at your own risk

BTW - you'll be shocked and amazed what a RG will do once he has agility and speed at or near the 1st soft-cap.

+1...check out my OT called "Experimental Build" trying to compensate Speedy DEs with agility and strength. Speed DEs have girlish strength, so if I can match agility, get my speed to about 30 and shock block to 100, he shold work.
