probably because i dont have a gas grill any more.

Which is why I don't understand the snobbery around not having a gas grill. Why not have both? People have 2 cars in the garage, but they can't have 2 grills?

tbh, there is no such thing as well done in South Africa, so it's not a dilemma we face in our native land.

I have one of those Weber's with the camping canister charcoal lighter and it is pretty tits. But I am building a new deck on my house and doing a built in Natural Gas Grill. I don't always want smokey, although I did a lamb roast on that Weber and it was an awesome flavour explosion when it touches your lips.

fire is manly, therefore i get angry if my food isn't as carcinogenic and raw as possible.

also, my ancestors were more alcoholic than your ancestors

My friends dad had a built in grill hooked to his natural gas. one night he was grilling out and catching a nice buzz as they prepared for their week long beach trip. needless to say, when he came back from his beach trip his grill was ruined and he had a $2000 gas bill

this.
I have the gas for the quick weekday grilling and a big charcoal for the weekend events. and for those, I still use the propane for things like a huge pack of potatoes in foil. it's just much more pleasant to cook outside on a hot summer night rather than heating up the kitchen
