Side note on cattle, we had one break free from the slaughterhouse yesterday. http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2015/05/27/cow-on-the-loose-in-the-west-side/28011209/

The slaughterhouse is in an urban setting...the cows from the farms just get trucked in each day. I guess one finally figured out what was going on, lol.

Well, I'm guessing homelessness is a lot less overbearing when you can just decide to go collect your millions of dollars.

Interesting lengths for some PR, though.

Having a bunch of mixed feelings on this.

On one hand it is nice for them to try to understand what hundreds of thousands of people less fortunate than themselves experience on a daily basis (for whatever reason).

On the other hand... one day? And you had a security guy? And a camera crew? Are you even trying to do anything than make a short heartwarming special for ESPN?

Idk.

It's a pretty ridiculous exercise. Pretty funny that they pulled out after 1 day too, when they originally planned to do 2.

I would be more sympathetic if it wasn't on camera and they weren't pushing hard to publicize it.

You guys just illustrated how common it is to take a brief glance at an article and comment on it without actually reading the whole thing. If you had read it all, you would have seen that Hayes initially didn't want any cameras, but the homeless shelter they donate to asked them to use cameras so that the story could be more widely shared.

Actions speak louder than words. I'm sure Hayes initially didn't want his fat paycheck from the Rams either.

Well, I'm not even saying the whole thing is bad...increased awareness is always good, but let's not act like they are really putting themselves out.
