Yeah...I know. It always snows in the playoffs...
It's crazy, because you would think the snow would benefit the running game but it is easier to pass in the snow. Except for my team. Keith Jackson had 3 drops.

passing in the snow being this easy is actually some complete BS, needs to be a much heavier penalty to receiving in the snow. There is a reason teams are forced to run in it

Morale/energy loss increases. Perhaps we also need a hit to rec hands/grip, but should also have a carry grip penalty too honestly.
Once you do that, it is a defensive simulated game and is going to frustrate people more than it already does, leading to more complaints.

Wind is a far bigger factor than snow - while any game wouold be thrown off by an absolute blizzard or monsoon - those are pretty rare events. Average haevy wind game decreasing the long passing game by a whopping 6% is probably over-modeled in the current sim if anything.

I agree.

I'd agree with all of this.
But I'd imagine that Viper and I are the only ones would be in favor for more accurate snow in the sim. I still would like to see passing not be so damn easy in the snow regardless.
Increased energy/morale loss should favor running if defenders are tiring. Are single HB rosters an issue in the snow? I haven't been watching a ton of morale/energy in games as I typically watch on my phone. It should hurt everybody equally if lacking depth at positions.
As William said, it is the crazy wind that hurts passing more than anything.
I personally have no issues with a change to snow, just saying that it is likely going to upset more people than it pleases when offenses are severely crippled.
I just watched "farm" in rookie throw completion after completion into coverage in snow. Thats not how football works in real life. Even with gloves when you have coverage like that its heavily effected. High wind should effect passing as well. I would be in favor of marking your own template of weather AS long as once you pick it for that team its permanent. But I would imagine it could effect the core code of the game since its all universal at this point but im not the dev so i have no idea.
There should also be an impact on carry grip and balance, 100 percent on that. Windy freezing games are not 30-17 football games. They are 17-14 or lower. From the midwest this is an advantage as well as a disadvantage when you build your team. Let the people have their dumb domes, if they have to travel to "Nebraska" in the playoffs at the end of the season, they should be hit with a massive disadvantage much like if it was a Florida team coming up they wouldnt be prepared.
But here wind and snow are every day football for us after october, your twinkle toe passing games just dont work well.

But anyway thread the needle is somehow op and I just got a game vs decent respectable team and did not punted once. 90 % comp rate in this weather... something is wrong.

This is pretty much what I am pitching. It would add another dynamic to this game...actually a pretty big one. You want to bring your spamming, all passing team to my turf? Good luck winning on my snowing planet. It should force the away team to have to gameplan for the environment.
