That other thread made me curious about Rookie only. I think Xars RB from SCO has the edge:

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/146365

He only broke a tackle on 7.7% of rushes, but so far that's the best rate I've found.

the secret to breaking tackles in rookie is literally just balance. 40+ will get you 1-2 broken tackles a game for the most part.

Man, it is just dead around here, even the Discussion in the rookie thread has died off.

In the hopes of starting some kind of discussion I propose this question:

The best explanation for Mannheim being the current #2 team in rookie is:
A) Pure Luck
B) Ladder System obviously broken
C) LOL rookie
D) All of the above

Mannheim has played some damn good defense in all but 3 games this season. 7 total points in league play. That will do it.

Been working like a dog lately so I haven't had much time to update the rookie games. Hopefully next week things will go back to normal.

I think around this time is when most rookie teams with owners/coaches realize they aren't competing, and stop talking as much. I feel like this rookie thread was more active for longer than the S9 rookie thread.

Yup, definitely. The Season 9 thread only went to 22 pages, this one's already at 39.

9 game winning streak and only 3 total losses. The #2 spot has been a revolving door. Excellent job though.

GG Sperm Whales, an interception is an awesome thing except when it costs you yards:

GG. Rookies clearly don't have the football brains to knock it down yet!

Wouldn't have mattered since it was so late in the game. I'm more upset about our 3rd and short performances

I'm also upset about my continued inability to find open receivers against Cover 3 Tiger:

At least Prime Time finally fired, but come on, don't force it to the guy with 3 defenders nearby, WR4 is wide open!

You'll struggle with that if you only use spread. Best way to beat that play is with an extra blocker (usually the HB). Once that free blitzer is blocked up there are so many holes in those zones.

I also think I'm going to have to start going bigger in my passing options. We're good at sustaining long drives, but horrible at coming up with points to show for them due to the inevitable stall

Last season not as many active owners - this season we have a lot of big reset teams so was bound to be a lot more active.
