I told a big black guy on the train the other day that he was being a jerk by not letting people get off in front of him. He told me that wasn't how things worked, put his head down and scampered away (without letting anyone step into the aisle).

Then I let a lady step in the aisle in front of me and she made a point of saying thank you very loudly in his direction. It was p funny.

Because it's quieter and cooler than during the day.

Also don't have to worry about traffic.

Pretty much the only reasons to not walk at night is having work in the morning, which I work when I want and usually at night, or being afraid of boogeymen, which being 6'1 220 with a beard, a hoodie, and camo pants people probably don't see me and think easy target.

Wait, what part are you facepalming?

The only part I can think of is that I should plan my life around being afraid of boogeymen?

I've been doing it for years, and the only people I've been accosted by were cops.
