Pithy... aside from the regular remedies prescribed by your doctor (Im curious what that may be) what diet, vitamin, excercise or 'other' remedy have you done yourself?

I've been eating healthily, and I'm on a regular exercise routine from the physical therapist. I'm having to teach myself how to walk again, and I have a whole host of doctor, though most of them don't specialize in cognitive fuctions. Both the cognitive therapist, and the neurologist said that it is not in my best interest to continue my occupation.

I'm on gabapentin, neurontin, and now they want to get me on antidepressants. The mixture of chemicals, risk of falling, and my fucked up back are all reasons why they told me this. Many of the industrial solvents, and fluids in cars put me at the risk of seizure.

I assume you dont drink or smoke ~ keep your body clean... have you ever considered - Im not sure why this crossed my mind - but for some reason i wonder whether something like yoga would help you... maybe try 3 simple stretches x10 reps a day for just aweek and see if theres any difference of benefit.. ?... Yr opinion on that?

The issue is that I am now a seizure risk for the rest of my life. The chemicals, specifically brake clean put me at a much higher risk for seizures. There are other solvents that are just as bad that I have to deal with on a day to day basis for prolonged periods of time, that could give me seizures, and/or cause more brain damage.

I don't do drugs, or smoke and I drank delicious microbrew beers about once a month, although I may never be able to drink alcohol again. That could also be a trigger for seizures for those with severe traumatic brain injuries, which I have. In fact I heard when I came into the hospital I only had a 20% chance of living. I was even in a coma for a couple of days.

I already do many of those things that you listed, my physical therapist has me doing those things.

Meanwhile in Saskatoon:

You can't drink and play monopoly. Monopoly is such a long game, that eventually you are all going to just be drunk and mad about how you aren't in jail (in the game) so you assault someone playing the game (so you go to jail IRL).

But seriously... the mechanic in monopoly for the end game is terrible. It rewards going to jail and staying there, because anywhere else you go might lead to forking over a ton of cash to your opponent.

Late game monopoly just comes down to who can make the most lopsided deal.

Me: I give you Boardwalk free of charge, but for the rest of the game I don't have to pay you when I land on any property with a hotel.
Them: No, only for the next ten turns.
Me: For Boardwalk, when you have Park Place?!? Fine... for twenty times around GO and you give me Atlantic Avenue.
Them: Okay, but I don't have to pay you on your Yellows for the rest of the game.
Me: Okay, initial here, here, here, and sign here.

Ran into someone else interviewing for the lab spot (theres something like 15 summer spots and 30 interviewees) while picking up my suit and he was buying a dress shirt saying he didn't have one. Perhaps I'm overthinking it with the full suit and would look a little out of place interviewing to teach people in a lab wearing a suit. It's a full chain interview process i.e. with a couple exceptions we're interviewing one after another with a random faculty member and current instructor.

Dress shirt and jeans w/ tie? Suit? Some middle ground?

Btdubs it is a dark charcoal pinstripe suit because it was byfar the least expensive one they had in my size. $149 compared to the next closest one I liked in a plain pattern at $250

So I was walking around my neighborhood tonight...

About a mile down my street, I'm walking along and see a porchlight flashing down the street. I'm thinking, that's weird. Then a car drives by barely going faster than a walking speed, obviously looking for something, a road, etc. Then they pull into the driveway of the house with the flashing porchlight. As I'm walking by, two big burly black dudes get out of the car, the front door opens (just a crack), then they go walking in. And...that raises a bunch of questions.

Why are they looking for a house that they don't know the location of on a Sunday night at 2am? Why TWO guys? It wouldn't be a booty call with two guys, right? Especially since they were both pretty...weighty. Drug deal? Why two people? One of them was carrying a bag, so maybe? Drug dealers don't usually do house calls, though, right?

When I walked by again 15 minutes later, the car was still there and it looked like a big screen TV on in one of the bedrooms. I can't see calling your friends over to watch some sports at 2am on a Sunday, especially people who aren't even good enough friends to know where you live.

Actually, now that I think about it, I remember a year or two ago seeing those same vehicles...

The car at the house originally was a black SUV, and the car the guys were in was a fancy looking gold car. About a year ago, walking around about 2-3am, the gold car pulls into a convenience store (that was closed) parking lot...and I think to myself, that's weird. Then I walk by, and they leave the parking lot and pull into another convenience store parking lot about 50 yards down the road.

When I walk by, I looked over and could see a woman putting on lipstick in the black SUV, then the guy gets out of the gold car and into the back seat of the SUV, and the woman gets out of the drivers side door, then gets in the backseat as well. About that time I was far enough away to not be able to see what was going on...just assumed it was a combo of prostitution/drug deal.

So, maybe it's the same dealio. Though, after a year, it seems they'd know where she lived.

good creased khakis, blue dress shirt, sport coat, no tie. have a tie with you, though, in case it seems like you're underdressed.
