got some good matchups this week.

#1 HAHA vs. #5 Bloody Slaughterhouse

HAHA is coming off their impressive win over Ashland and looks to build on their new #1 status. Bloody has been climbing up the ladder slowly but surely and is trying to show they have one of the best offenses in the tier. Can HAHA run the table and be the first unbeaten team? I don't think so since they still have to play some top flight teams like Bloody, No Name, and PORN. Will Bloody be able to knock HAHA off the mountain? Hard to say but it's going to come down to how they limit the 4 wr formation and if they're able to score on probably the most stout D in sophomore so far. Assuming Bloody doesn't throw screens on every 3rd down I think they have a realistic shot to win. Bloody with the upset 28-24.

#2 No Name vs. #10 South End Vipers

No Name has me nervous lately. They BARELY beat a very bad Virginia team and now play a solid vipers team. What is going on in No Name country? Don't have too much confidence in No Name unless they can prove me wrong, even if they're still undefeated. Let's see if South End can end the streak and make my prediction come true that we'll have no undefeated teams left after this week. Vipers win 24-17.

#3 Ashland Docker vs. #13 FBU Fire

After losing to HAHA, Ashland had a little more trouble than they would have liked to a bad league opponent. Probably has more to do with that bad team actually putting a decent gameplan together than Ashland trending downward. Either way I think Ashland is safe here since they're playing an FBU team that gave up 50 to PORN and Id expect Ashland to get close to that as well. Ashland 45-14.

#4 PORN vs. #17 Phoenix Aztecs

PORN just keeps up their offensive explosion week in and week out. Seems like almost every week they hand tbeir opponent the worst loss they've had all season and it usually isn't close. For example they've scored 24, 31, 14, and 19 more points than any other opponent has against their last 4 opponents, respectively. I'd expect that trend to continue against a predictably struggling Aztecs team. PORN wins 45-7.

#6 San Diego Sperm Whales vs. #22 Colorado Springs Mambas

Don't really see SD losing this one as Colorado has struggled. SD has been a solid top 10 team all season. SD wins 28-10.

#7 Salty Runback vs. #13 Fire Breathing Sharks

This will be a tough game to call. Salty is on the up and up while the Sharks have one of the better passing offenses in the league which should only get better as chemistry improves. The one thing that makes me a little hesitant is Salty can struggle at times defending the pass as some o their losses show. Will be interesting to see if they can stop that tomorrow against the Sharks. Sharks win 24-21.

#9 EEA 2.0 vs. #12 Strange Music

Another interesting matchup. EEA has been hanging arohns all season and they're playing against a decent Music team. Can EEA's passing portion of the offense cause enough trouble to move the ball enough for some easy scores? I think so but this might be close. EEA wins 27-17.

Color me shocked, the toughest ladder draw again.

On the flip side, PORN has only played 1 top 10 opponent in the ladder this season. Was really hoping for an easier week while I get to sit back with some popcorn and watch No Name vs PORN or something.

Oh well, good luck Bloody! We didn't play last season so I don't really know what to expect.

Last season when PORN was on top every single week was the game of the week for us. The gauntlet in this tier is no joke.

I dont think we beat Mambas by that much. Have a feeling we may slip up too

In other news it's Mannheim vs Arizona State (all run vs all run), will we be setting a new negative yardage record? Tune in to find out!

EZSB vs Northern Uprising.

Should be another good one. Can EZSB keep their offense rolling? They need to because they play PORN next.

No Name has played zero top 10 opponents, though a few teams we beat were top 10 at the time of the game (and the sharks are easily a top 10 team if they knew how to vary their defender vs pure rushing teams). No Name could struggle against some of the other current top 10 teams once we draw them in ladder. The good news is there's only so many ladder games. Particularly would like to play Salty and Sperm Whales as we didn't get those matchups last season.

Our offence has been struggling - so Vipers will definitely have a great shot at the upset (if you could even call it that). Going to pick No Name and HAHA over South End and Bloody though.

Only the third time you've picked against us though! (The other two being vs Phoenix and PORN last season)

I want PORN to to start pulling some top 5 teams soon just to see where we measure at this point in the season.

For some reason I didn't realize you were in the same boat as PORN in terms of ladder draws.

Stobie's Opponent Record ranking doesn't include future opponents, but just who we've played so far. The ranking system doesn't incorporate ties correctly, so I'll do that myself. Here's the rankings of how tough each teams schedule has been to date:

1 NW Storms
2 Salty Runback
3 New World Order
4 Fire Breathing Sharks
5 San Diego Sperm Whales
6 Gliwice Lions
7 Arizona State Sun Devils
7 ENMU GreyHounds
9 Trenton Devils
10 Sin City Saints
11 Hilariously Amazing & Happy Axolotls
11 Ashland Dockers
11 I've STILL Never Had Sex
11 Deadman Odyssey
15 Mannheim Steamroller
15 Empire's Zone Strikes Back
15 Back Door Sluts 9
18 Buffalo Billy Boys
18 Las Vegas Outlaws
20 Colorado Stoners
21 EEA 2.0
22 Panty Obliterating Rectal Ninjas
22 Salary Cap Optimization
22 Portland Ronin
25 Phoenix Aztecs
25 Tosche Station Grenadiers
27 Banty Roosters
28 Bloody Slaughterhouse
29 New England Wildcats
29 Orlando Predators
31 Colorado Springs Mambas
32 No Name
32 Omaha BEEF
32 Northern Uprising
35 Blackwater Bears
36 Default Name
37 Kensington Browns
37 Tacoma Trojans
39 Virginia Warriors
40 Hell's Kitchen Devils
40 Lafayette Mudbugs
42 PAIN NATION MIDGETS
43 LeRoy Cardinals
44 FBU Fire
45 Arkansas Razorbacks

Random weird note, Hell's Kitchen Devils must have a really weak league or something. They've played both HAHA and PORN in ladder, yet have only the 40th toughest schedule.

Does the opponent rank exclude games against the opponent in question? It seems to have a bias against teams with better records. For example, if HAHA beats bloody, it will be considered to have played a 3 loss team, while if HAHA loses, the team will have played a 2 loss team. The records should probably be normalized to remove the one game from each opponent that played the team whose opponents' win rate is being calculated.

HKD has a ladder game against NW Storms, then league games against Bloody Slaughterhouse and Phoenix Aztecs coming up, so depending on our next ladder draw our schedule is getting somewhat more difficult.

That's a good question, only Stobie can answer. I'm going to guess it doesn't, as that would require more work that's only useful in Rookie and Sophomore Power Rankings. Hard to do Opponent Rankings once ladder match-ups start being up or down a tier.
