Ok I'm going to be brutally honest.

I tried to kill badass on Night 2 but my gun didn't work. He says he can kill in self-defense but clearly that isn't true because I was inside of his home attempting to kill him.

This leads me to believe he must be the night killer. He must've tried to kill me last night but I protected myself with my padlock

I'm trying to figure out if badass is lying or not. He definitely is

I just find it hard to believe he has a padlock that is shiny when all my items rust overtime and become less effective

I only had one, my other two padlocks work exactly as you claim your's do and they degrade overtime.
