Yeah, I've expected them to go for FG in overtime as soon as they come close enough.
But, missed PAT obviously left a mark..

Yeah, looks like that was an AI goof, that will be fixed to be sure. I was yelling at my own computer to kick the FG!

A great great game AP. Another one to build the rivalry on. Good luck to Huddle and the all the rest.

I'd still rather take my chances with my best possession guy (generally a power back on most teams).

100% Power Back inside run, downs 1-3, when inside the 30 or so.... Kickers DO miss chip shots, probably more often than power backs fumble.

100% Power Back inside run?

Yeah.. I agree. And I thought it's also very very good when you have the lead.
But, using those runs (not all the time, but most of it) we've gained just 21 yards in 4th quarter and our powerback had 0.6 ypc in that period.

On the other hand, our punter nailed them every single time he touched the ball. Amazing series of punts, amazing.

So, from now on, I believe in kickers. Any kind of them

Our kicker is 29/30 from 30 yards or less, and our powerback this year has 2 fumbles on 57 carries. So I guess it's a wash.

While I would probably say an inside run with a high carrying back is a good call, ANY pass is a horrible call. INTs happen, seemingly at random, and there is no option to "Never throw a risky pass when you have the lead and are within FG range"... Like what would happen IRL.

Most of the time, I would agree with this statement, but the make up of the team comes into play also.

The HB's on the Jackals for instance combined to fumble 16 times last season, on 316 rushes, while the QB's combine to throw 11 interceptions on 1132 attempts. You could also argue that good DC's are going to set up to stuff the run in those situations also, which could leave the pass more open then normal. So if you think along those lines, sometimes it may be better to pass in those situations depending on the team make up and what not.

But as a general rule, I would still agree with Forbin.

Yeah not everyone can have 13 fumbles in one season.

Jessica Landry - Fumbled on 3.26% of carries
Wyatt Daniel - Fumbled on 3.18% of carries

Huge difference there, obviously.

Oh, and my badass HB, 29 rushes, 2 fumbles. Yeaaah, baby yeah!

I had Wyatt slide over to "lots of fumbles" today to make my point.

lol, good job. That tactic sucks, though. Never seems to give me much YPC.

Also, GG BDM. Absolute domination on the line, well done. I think BDM is the team to beat right now, for that #1 spot.

Jackals beat us going away. They are for real at 4-0, the lone Lion team undefeated.

FWIW, the Power Rankings have both teams at #1.
