Its funny how a products past affects its present and future. I just saw a turbo charged version of the VW Beatle (new), and it looked quite striking. High performance wheels, gunmetal gray in color, great stance. And then I found myself wondering how many folks would say "Nice, but that's a chick's car" or "Nice, but that's a hippie car". Its almost as if VW would have been better served taking the technology and performance gimmicks, and then attached them to a newer vehicle that doesn't have the past to overcome that this one does.

those Turbo Beetles are pretty sweet. my Verizon guy has one with mag wheels and a spoiler and nice leather bucket seats. it looks great..........for a girls car.

When they relaunched the Mini Cooper I said the same thing.

When you had the Cooper S special edition fully tweaked, you could beat any car in street race because you were sitting on a ton of turbo charged torque on a vehicle that weighed half of most other cars with a similar output.

Which is pretty sick for a girl's car.

Took a behind the scenes tour of a Chick-Fil-A today. What a beautifully simple and efficient operation. Also, exceptionally clean given it was right after lunch.

Oh shit, am I gonna get banned for posting the contents of a PM? I forgot about the "no posting PMs" rule before I posted that.

No, but the paper hat they gave me to wear on the tour was super iffy.

I was surprised to learn they make the chicken salad by pulling the breading off of unsold chicken for sandwiches.
