Case in point why I'd like AWD:
We got some snow last night. Roads have been warm so they're fine. Bridges and overpasses are obviously slick, being that it is cold and they are not insulated by the ground. The two routes I have between my house and the interstate that gets me to my work are closed because of respective 13 and 20 car pileups on bridges. God forbid I was in the middle of that, I'd like the traction to either stop before I hit dipshit speeder A in front of me or a little extra traction to get out and around the crash as it was happening.
