Well, considering how much you pride yourself on not bothering to gameplan for rookie (and you've even got Myrik saying you don't) it was a bit of a surprise to see your 4WR was completely revamped. The whole offensive gameplan was set to exploit your 4WR base defense AND short yardage defense, neither of which have been altered once all season, even against competitive opponents. I figured there'd be a good chance you'd drop the Middle Overload on short yardage, but definitely did not expect you to swap out the 3-2, especially when you kept it in against all the other top teams that abused you on it up the middle, to the outside, and in the pass. If you didn't remove the worst play in your playbook against literally every other team in rookie, I hedged my bets you wouldn't remove it against me. So yeah, I'd call that a gameplay change. My mistake in the end for gambling the whole game on it, though.

And yes, my shutout loss yesterday almost made me hang up the coaching for the rest of the season. Came back with a vengeance today though

I have been burned by this thinking one too many times. Never sellout to a single play/formation...never. Always have variety.

Sun League Post Game Review

Hawaii vs Brood
Well...what can I say. I am not surprised that Hawaii won...but I am surprised by how bad they whipped Brood. At one point the game was 31-3...ouch! Post game interview, coach Kvothe27 admitted to selling out and going full run up the gut against Hawaii's 4 WR defense, think Boss wouldn't change it up. Well, Boss changed it up and stuff 'em. Kvothe27 can't put all the blame on offensive game planning though. Trevor was dropping dimes all over the place. I watch that first drive...he hit his TE 6 times, including a TD. Brood kept blitzing and wasn't phasing Trevor at all. Brood actually looked good early on, but turnovers really hurt. Then the moral spiral started and it was all down hill. I think they will meet again in the Sun Championship game. Will Kvothe27 have learned his lesson? Maybe we will find out.

Rebel Scum vs Hades
I said this would be a good one and it was. William vs William....wouldn't you know it, they tied. I said the loser was out of the playoff race....but there was no loser. I still think they are both out of the playoff race though. Too many tough teams in this league right now. How about the crazy finish though? Don't you get 3 timeouts in overtime?

Birmingham Blast vs 1980s
Blast took a 14-7 lead and it looked like another disappointing loss for 1980s was inevitable. I was about to throw my computer out the window until Bo Jackson came alive and scampered for a 30 yard TD run.

1980s never looked back and came away with a 30-14 victory. Somehow, 1980s is right in the middle of the wildcard hunt. The next 2 opponents are Kentucky and IF, so we will get answers soon. I have a feeling that chemistry hit will not bode well for 1980s.

Davis Empire vs Miamisburg
YungVot was sooo close to getting his first league win. Game went to overtime and Miamisburg took the kickoff and drove 85 yards for the game winning FG.

Nebraska vs Rome
My prediction damn well almost came true. Nebraska is flirting with disaster and came very close to losing to winless Rome. With 6 minutes left, Rome takes the lead with a FG. Nebraska gets the kickoff and marches down, with plays like this:

They punched it in with 2:00 left to take a 10-6 lead. Rome, then, drives all the way down the field and is within inches of possibly taking the lead back.

But Nebraska holds on for a victory and stays alive for a playoff birth...but they are not going in the right direction.

Kentucky vs IF
I was pretty spot on with this prediction. IF continues to be the dark horse in this league. With Brood and Kentucky dominating the league and talk, nobody is talking about iRock and IF. IF is good...very good. They can hang with any team in this league. IF takes out Kentucky 24-12 and that is with a late meaningless TD by Kentucky with 2:00 left. Kentucky has lost 2 in a row...when is the last time that has happened? They have a huge matchup with 1980s next week...can they rebound?

I got complacent and didn't gameplan at all and I leave a purposefully terrible gameplan in as my basic setting after you scrimmaged me for the 12th time.
