I like these changes and the new system, I like a lot of what is changing in the game, it is almost all for the better. I do feel there is one resounding theme that is not being addressed and I would like to add my 2 cents to it.

If you're gonna do this, APPLY IT TO ALL TEAMS... NOT JUST DEMOTIONS.

Screw everyone or no one

Major changes to the system call for a total reset
Next seaosn would be a great opportunity to do such with all the major changes
Almost every mmorpg does so at some point during beta

Why not just apply this to all teams at the level cap that you are going to be at regardless of how you got there at the start of S15. Balance the entire thing, that way there is no advantage to anyone at all.

And to not apply it to everyone is just plain wrong.

This is the one part I agree with in all of this, massive reset of all teams to their current league levels would be fair. It would affect me negatively, so I am not looking at it from my own point of view, I am looking at it from a mass scale. Does the game still say Beta on it?

I understand, and it's sucky, but I feel like I can't in good conscience start resetting everyone's teams based on a brand new rule. We debated on adding the rule, hemmed and hawed, and that's our fault, not the owners'.

Some people are already annoyed by the new rule, even with warning. Retroactively enforcing it is not something they're going to stand for IMO.

Over time, those teams will weed out as they demote again or promote back to the higher ranks where it doesn't matter as much.

Good conscience? Good conscience has nothing to do with any of this. You are not going to please everyone, but to at least say it was fair for all is the best you can do. If no one has a leg up to start next season, that in itself would be a major victory. Ask yourself what would be fair on the mass scale, not from any one point of view. A massive reset only makes sense in this regard.

I stand to lose a lot from it, but I would feel it is fair.

How is a complete reset fair to those who are not gaming the cash system? I'd say the percentage of teams going about it the "right" way is at least 50%.

Because if everyone starts on the same playing field, then you get back to true capitalism and away from plutocracy in the minors - the best-run team will succeed, not the one who carried the biggest sack of money with them from Pro when they dropped down.

I like the idea. It's about time you guys stop the habitual system cheaters.

Yeah just reset everyone starting next season. Everyone start on a level field.
If you guys want t make radical/major changes on the game, why not reset everyone and start from ground up again.
Then we'll see the best of the best get promoted because they're really the cream of the crop not because they carry the biggest load of money that they have in their bank.

Plus this will make all those trophies, awards and similar bling bling stuff legit.

And will definitely also kill all those SSB teams.

It would also drive away a large portion of the GLB community.
