GG MUV. Every time we think we have this sim figured out something else jumps out and rears its fucking head...

Well you guys had us very nervous, luckily we crunched a lot of film on you guys and came up with a plan that worked.

Doesn't take much crunching to go "HURR GIVE POWER BACK BALL LET HIM RUN IT".

I mean, it is the way this season's sim works and all, and I don't have anything against you guys for doing it, but it really doesn't take much imagination or thought to do it

To an extent that is true, but Banzai is very good and does a lot of things well. We knew we could score on them, but we always worry more about stopping what the other team is going to do on offense.

Team with powerbacks? Isn't much of a mystery as to what they are going to do.

Seriously, people. Most realize that this season's sim, the key to winning is to give the ball to a powerback and let them run people over. Nobody should be acting like they are tactical geniuses when they figure out that they should hand the ball to their power back, or figure out that they should try to stop another team's powerbacks due to the passing game being hard for the majority of teams.

You (and this isn't directed at Mata-Utu, but people in general) aren't tactical geniuses for ramming a power back down someone's throat, or figuring that you need to send the house to stop a power back. End of story.

Strange they had powerbacks and we held them in check. Not pretending to be a tactical genius. Like I said we know what we have and what we are going to do on offense and so does everyone else. We were more worried if we could stop Banzai from scoring.

Try setting your entire defense to power tackling next time. It works wonders.

5STAR also gameplanned pretty well against our powerbacks as well.

And that was before Bort toned powerbacks down somewhat this season.

140 attempted tackles on power tackle = 0 fumbles

I would like to think that the odds are better than that...

Bort mentioned last season ( Or was it the season before? ) that elusive backs have a greater chance of fumbling than powerbacks. Mainly due to the whole logic of covering up and plowing through compared to dancing on tippy toes to avoid being touched.

I wonder if he ever changed that. If he didn't, I highly doubt any player could force a fumble from a powerback since they were originally built to be resistant to that.

Power backs can fumble. The Stingers proved that by forcing 3 on us on Friday.
