I thought Sun League was a cluster around the 1 wildcard spot. Check out Surf League. 10 out of the 12 teams are within 2 games of either their division lead or the wildcard.

They know the surest way to grow a game is to allow us who know the most powerful blitzes to sack the newcomers 10-15 times a game 20 on a really good day. But even if it isn't that's okay it's obvious that people don't want to play browser games anymore so it was always bound to shrink but it's not fatalistic at all to recognize that excuse.

Plus if they actually did anything about it - it wouldn't work because well there will always be some overpower blitz its not a game design problem it simply is reality in the universe. But don't worry because to counter the suggestion you don't really mean and they know you don't actually want - we'll start the position with something rediculous like eliminating all sacks in rookie - which of course is what you actually mean and you must be a horrid person secretly out to destroy the game.

Still you didn't really mean it so it's all good. You are the only person that wants it - so they can't build a game for everyone and they'd lose their best players if they took your suggestion. But don't worry rest assured the game is growing except that it was preordained to die because of some macro force totally beyond their control and you don't really mean that anyway so no big deal.

1980s Test Team gives Farm a scare! We actually out gained them in total yards. MO almost did him in!

Sun League Post Game Report

5-1 in my predictions. Battle of the Inactives got me with Miamisburg stumbling.

Undefeated Hawaii and Brood continue to dominate, on their way to a collision next week.

Nebraska continues to free fall as Kentucky rises from the ashes to over take 1st place in Beta.

1980s finally gets out of murderers row, as they cruise to a 17-0 shutout over the Davis Empire.

Intimidation Factor stays in playoff contention while Hades might have just exited the building.

Will Rome win a game this season? They are now 0-7.

Up and down Rebel Scum lose a big game today but are still alive for a wildcard.

It wasn't the crawling it was the epic balance failures that first eh...20 games of the rookie season - those were epic I wish I still had it we had a RB who fell down on the play - and because the defense was so slow he had time to recover (rookie balance recovery and all) then he got up ran fell down again - and again the defense (who mostly had fallen themselves) couldn't get to him and he ends up converting for a long first down on a play where he fell immediately on the pitch. That was funny - most of it was kinda goofy I don't think WR's caught passes then without the momentum of the ball knocking them to the ground.

I'm fucking dieing over here!!!

What was the name of the team and/or owner? I might be able to find it.

My favorite was the bug where the player would just run into the corner of the stadium and all the players would follow him..or something like that!

OMG totally had forgotten about those plays....

It was on one of our teams I can't remember if it was one of Knyghte's HB's or DantheSportsmans - but I just remember us yucking it up in the team forum about the value of falling on your face....

Basically we had two HB's so I was pretend chastizing the one who didn't fall down ...like you see the other guy see how he gives up not his virtual body but all his dignity for the team - that's how you get yardage in rookie ball - hide from the D.

Oh I remember this guy. DantheSportsmans. He had some pretty good teams with only CPU players...before CPU players were very good. Or maybe he didn't have any superstars?

I always wanted to take advantage of the variety bonus, especially on offense. I always felt that the more offensive plays a team ran the harder it was to defend against

No worries. That's why I caveat. You guys are optimizers I totally get that. You guys have every right to enjoy a game how you enjoy it. Just pointing out I 100% couldn't do so - not because I'm incapable of optimizing towards a narrow set of plays - it's because the idea of doing so while playing a game and then having to watch the replay makes me a little nautious.

You guys would be opimizing though anyway even if there were multiple styles co-equal at the top tiers. Just saying my mentality would be - hey SB TE Post is a dominant play given the games current meta - ok great job what new defensive plays can I roll out over the next couple of seasons that have better chance to stop it without an asymetric over exposure elsewhere? -OR- Ahh ZEB is overpowering almost all 4WR plays including the short routes...gee that doesn't make sense a 4-4 stack against 4 WR's surely that should have a higher risk if the blitz doesn't get home or rattle the QB how do I re-align risk reward without a nerf - what game function could I add.

He ran plenty of players - https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/home/29704

He started doing CPU teams when he kinda missed GLB but didn't want to invest the time - but talked to him not long ago he was basically bored. He pokes his head around every so often - I don't want to beat a dead horse on his major wants before coming back.

I use S* players to allow me to run certain plays that may not work for other teams as well, that goes for offense and defense. How the stars are built also aids in that, as that I've tested this by running the exact same defense with KYM and LH against the same opponent with 2 very different results. That's also a reason why my zone and DLCurt's were very different with our championship teams, him being more pass coverage focused and me being more blitz heavy.

Late post but quick game predictions for Sun League

Hawaii vs Brood
Game of the Year!!! 7-0 vs 7-0. #1 vs #2 in the tier. Can Brood avenge their only loss of the year, coming to Boss's Farm team? If anybody can beat Hawaii, Brood can....and they will! Brood wins on a last second FG to take over #1 in the tier!

Rebel Scum vs Hades
We are only at the mid season mark, but the loser can pretty much kiss their playoff chances good-bye. Rebel Scum did beat Kentucky early, so they have potential. Hades beat IF, for a solid win as well. Both are coached by William. This should be a close game....I'll go with Hades by 7.

Birmingham Blast vs 1980s
1980s is coming off an embarrassing shutout in their last ladder game and GE is not a happy camper. The chemistry hit on offense might be beginning to take a toll. Blast's owner and all the players are inactive...so they haven't been spending SPs. Not spending SPs vs chemistry hit...who wins? A solid game plan lifts 1980s to a victory, and keeps them alive in the playoff hunt. They are holding on, trying to raise that chemistry.

Davis Empire vs Miamisburg
All CPU vs nOOb. 0-7 vs 0-7. Who gets the first victory of the season? Until Davis Empire gets their first win, it will be hard for me to pick them over the vet rackhound...even if the team is full of CPU players. Miamisburg by 10.

Nebraska vs Rome
Nebraska is sinking....fast. If they lose to 0-7 Rome, they might think twice about going forward with their Ben Rosthesburger build of a QB in Tommy Frazier. Sure, it takes 3 guys to tackle him. And sure, he will break 10 tackles a game. But who cares if you can't score a TD. Rome is winless in ladder games too. Can they get their 1st victory of the season? YES! Nebraska goes down to winless Rome...and knocks Nebraska out of the playoff hunt. Rome by 3!...and Frazier breaks 15 tackles

Kentucky vs IF
Huge playoff implications in this game. Kentucky sits in 1st in Beta, with a 1 game lead over Nebraska. IF is 2nd place in Gamma, behind by 2 games to Brood. However, both are sitting pretty for a wildcard birth. If the season ended today, IF would get the wildcard spot. Loser is still in good shape to make the playoffs, but the winner can add some breathing room. I would have picked Kentucky before yesterday's ladder shellacking at the hands of Farm, 31-0. IF smells blood and will attack. IF gets this much wanted victory.

GG. Was definitely not expecting you to have actually changed your gameplan so much, but I think even without that and the terrible luck (fumble recoveries, broken tackles by receivers, etc.) we still lose based on builds, as well as some mistakes in my offensive philosophy. Best of luck on the rest of your season, and hopefully see you again in the playoffs.
