Late post but quick game predictions for Sun League
Hawaii vs BroodGame of the Year!!! 7-0 vs 7-0. #1 vs #2 in the tier. Can Brood avenge their only loss of the year, coming to Boss's Farm team? If anybody can beat Hawaii, Brood can....and they will! Brood wins on a last second FG to take over #1 in the tier!
Rebel Scum vs HadesWe are only at the mid season mark, but the loser can pretty much kiss their playoff chances good-bye. Rebel Scum did beat Kentucky early, so they have potential. Hades beat IF, for a solid win as well. Both are coached by William. This should be a close game....I'll go with Hades by 7.
Birmingham Blast vs 1980s1980s is coming off an embarrassing shutout in their last ladder game and GE is not a happy camper. The chemistry hit on offense might be beginning to take a toll. Blast's owner and all the players are inactive...so they haven't been spending SPs. Not spending SPs vs chemistry hit...who wins? A solid game plan lifts 1980s to a victory, and keeps them alive in the playoff hunt. They are holding on, trying to raise that chemistry.
Davis Empire vs MiamisburgAll CPU vs nOOb. 0-7 vs 0-7. Who gets the first victory of the season? Until Davis Empire gets their first win, it will be hard for me to pick them over the vet rackhound...even if the team is full of CPU players. Miamisburg by 10.
Nebraska vs RomeNebraska is sinking....fast. If they lose to 0-7 Rome, they might think twice about going forward with their Ben Rosthesburger build of a QB in Tommy Frazier. Sure, it takes 3 guys to tackle him. And sure, he will break 10 tackles a game. But who cares if you can't score a TD. Rome is winless in ladder games too. Can they get their 1st victory of the season? YES! Nebraska goes down to winless Rome...and knocks Nebraska out of the playoff hunt. Rome by 3!...and Frazier breaks 15 tackles
Kentucky vs IFHuge playoff implications in this game. Kentucky sits in 1st in Beta, with a 1 game lead over Nebraska. IF is 2nd place in Gamma, behind by 2 games to Brood. However, both are sitting pretty for a wildcard birth. If the season ended today, IF would get the wildcard spot. Loser is still in good shape to make the playoffs, but the winner can add some breathing room. I would have picked Kentucky before yesterday's ladder shellacking at the hands of Farm, 31-0. IF smells blood and will attack. IF gets this much wanted victory.
