No, its because folks like you, rather than contribute to the discussion, post tripe like this. Or in your previous post in the same thread, yeah, you are helping with making things better.

I still like the idea of rating games by lead changes and closeness of the score per quarter. At the end of the season each team should have an average game rating that could assist in their placement for the next season. It is not perfect but it could lead to a higher percent of competitive leagues.

Also, I am part of a lot of teams. I have already seen a large percent of owners announce they will be selling their team next season because of all the changes. They simply do not wish to deal it all.

I would totally suggest that GLB nerf the planned changes for next season and send out emails to try to get their customers back. I think it is already too late for a lot of agents and it will be realized this offseason. The leagues could be in for a major shift if the percent of total upset owners is anywhere close to the percent in my small circle.

We need more realistic morale and energy settings to stem the death spirals and AEQ/VAs need to be re-thought in their application against player attributes. Having a peive of AEQ or +1 in a VA should not create such a divide between competition and blowout.

EDIT for keyboard FAIL.

With all respect, why is this just coming to the fore now? There have been many seasons in a row now where league after league after league is riddled with blowouts. But instead of a league structure announcement or even just a call to action like you initiated here, we got a trio of changes that were so baffling, complicated and half-baked that they've been undergoing revision ever since they were announced as "near final" changes.

And per your note about wanting to build a fun game - where is the fun in a financial system that will make recruiting harder for owners, pit player vs. player and player vs. owner in the quest for big contract morale boosts?

Where is the fun in a coaching system that is just two years of clicking with no visible result, all in order to compete?

Where is the fun in needing a spreadsheet and a weekend to decipher a training system so riddled with complexity that at least one of your lead testers and other testers are now openly campaigning against it?

Where is the fun in when people are clamouring for basic features like two point converts and 4 WR formations and intra-team scrimmages and you gave us popcorn night as a morale boost.

Where is the fun when radical changes are being brought into the game for yet another round of "find the exploit" while stamina is being bumped up in importance, there will be a myriad of ways to lose SP efficiency under the new training system, and GLB Inc. hasn't even really begun its review of whether the SAs are working as intended.

And where is the fun when the bulk of a season has now been spent trying to figure out the latest set of revisions and how each subsequent set of re-writes will affect current plans. Well, I suppose its more fun than watching yet another 255-0 blowout.

Do you actually think they haven't been trying to solve the problem of blow outs previously?

I agree that logical league restructuring has been needed for quite some time. And that restructure has to primarily be created by deleting teams. But to think that all the tweaks, buffs, nerfs, VA's, and 50 other band-aids weren't an attempt to solve this problem is kind of ridiculous...

Sorry but this is bullshit... plenty of people who have altruistic motives, develop things in their spare time and make them free. You guys are trying to make a living off of an idea, which I completely understand and condone, but don't try and make it seem like you did it out of the kindness of your heart. That's just insincere.

Do you and all, but don't try and make it seem like you're not trying make a living. if anything, this would be a much more sincere statement...

If I were running this game, I'd have taken a look at the first couple of 'weeks' of game play and thought - holy crap, something is seriously out of whack with this sim - and I'd have taken steps to correct it before yet another season went down the big loo, the way of the infamous Season 8 did.

Seriously, this season has been a complete waste of time. Even the I-slam debacle was better than this shit.

Like I said, there's nothing wrong with trying to get paid for your time and effort, but I felt that statement was a little insincere.
