Anyone following that high school millionaire story? Shit is funny. I expect the next breaking story to be that the bank statements were written on a cocktail napkin.

A lot of publications went from z0mg I need to reportz this to ripping their articles down and changing it to rumors/fake. It all just shows how bad a lot of media outlets are.

Ya Jimmy Kimmel had a great skit during the winter olympics that highlighted how bad the media can really be with his hoax story about a wolf in a hotel. The media talked about that for an entire week before Kimmel unveiled the rest of the video showing it was a replica of the hotel built in his own studio.

She said people are at greater risk of dying from bee stings and lightning strikes than they are from cougar attacks.

Having been part of a mountain lion attack I can't say I wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

Though coupling bee stings with lightning strikes is quite stupid. People are allergic to bees and bees are a very common insect among the world.

Well it wasn't an attack in the wild per say. Was actually at a mini zoo like place called The Animals of Montana in Bozeman, Montana. I had went there for a week to visit because a friend of mines dad owned it and I was looking to kinda get into that field of study at the time. My first morning there we went down and were preparing slop for the grizzly bears and I was just kinda watching this worker off in the distance as he was doing his daily duties of feeding and cleaning in the cages. Next thing I know a lion pounced on him and he was wrestling it. I looked over at my friend and was like "uh that can't be good?" and she was like "oh that's normal, he always does that."

Anyways so I am now super intrigued and watched for like 5 minutes or so before he then hit the ground and started yelling bear spray. So someone runs and gets the spray and then gives it to my friend and she has no idea what to do with it. The only people down at the zoo part at this time are me, 2 girls, and a young kid besides that worker. So of course it comes down to me to use the fucking bear spray on this lion. After about 10 minutes of spraying and the worker wrestling all 3 of us are blind as fuck and the worker somehow pushed the lion off and closed himself inside the lions cage. This leaving me and the lion on the outside. The lion runs directly into me knocking me over and then proceeds to run the other way probably not realizing I was a person and is just in a blind rage. From there I just ran blindly towards voices until I was out of the zoo enclosure.

That was my first hour of being there. lol. Needless to say I didn't go into the profession. The guy was incredibly lucky he was like 6'6" and could match the lions height on its hind legs. He was so close to death its crazy. He had one tooth almost all the way us his nostril and the another had split the back of his head open. He held the jaw at that position for almost the entire time I sprayed. Pretty nuts.

I'd have kicked that lion's ass. Then that night I'd have known what lion roast tastes like.

On another thread a while back, I mentioned that a local FOX affiliate sends us news cuts that I edit 4 days a week. (Supposed to, at least.) I have to do news alone on Monday mornings because they don't work Sunday nights. However, this anchor that's responsible is awful, doesn't adhere to our guidelines, and slacks so much that she doesn't even do it half the time.

Well, it's become over half now. She sent me a cut only one day last week and it was barely airable. (content, slurs, poor annunciation, reading too quickly, etc) She's yet to send anything this week. I told my boss that I'm about to send her a nasty email, but he said not to bother because we probably won't be keeping them around much longer.

I don't know how this bitch ever became a news anchor. She's terrible and completely lacks any professionalism.
