I just don't recall anyone suggesting "It would be really awesome if our HB could barely stay upright. It would be so cool for all those scouted undefended outside runs to no longer be able to work...at all!".
"We want sim changes, just nothing that will actually affect the outcome of the game!"
Balance skills, but make it so there's still no real point in investing in them!

Thing is, I love when stats become more useful.. when power running was the be all and end all, and the sim changed, we all had to readjust and try to find new "meta" builds, and it's the same again now. If there were just standard builds that worked the best for each position, the whole game becomes less fun. I wish I'd had a little time to respec at vet, but can do that next season. Other than that I'm really happy to have to work out builds again, the added variety is hat keeps the game fun. Otherwise I'd probably have quit within a few seasons

I think balance should be needed if making a cut like on counters. But simple pitches you shouldn't need that much. They are like a bunch of toddlers trying just trying to stay upright. How does making the game less dynamic make it better? Hopefully this won't be a repeat of season 28 GLB1 with tons of 3-0 games. I'm thinking this breaks the rest of the playbook. Maybe this ends up a good change but I have my doubts.
