Looks like the Senior League has some new competition as the the two finalist for the last two seasons are not seeing their seasons off to a good start.

Awesome write up Paul! But Eugene will push NY a bit more this year and might not be considered such an upset.

Ok...I am aboot (love that word) to build a scrambling PUP QB, move him up to Vet and then convert him to a Legend. GE will make his presence known in these here parts!!!

My Dual Threat QB is joining the Senior League next season. Started the season off well with a win and this Tebow-esque TD run: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/359195/144426

Damn! I remember Bernie. Wondered he went because that was a really good rQB build. With the right gameplan he could have been a beast.

Post-divisional review:
Top teams: Phoenix, Saskatoon, Eugene
These three teams are at the top for a reason. Saskatoon has the #1 offense, racking up 110 points over 3 games with a powerful running game and a consistent passing game. Eugene has the toughest defense in the game, especially strong in takeaways. Phoenix has some nice balance with the #1 Scoring Offense and Defense; they may not get the yards but they get the points, a +90 point differential to be exact. Who will lose first? If it's next week, signs point the Retirees' tough matchup against New York.
Next Man In Tier: Leeds, New York, Louisville
Leeds looks like the odd man out here with the #2 Defense and #3 Offense, but all three are strong teams who should be in playoff contention at the end of the year. New York's offense has played well but their defense has suffered, particularly in pass rushing. Only 2 sacks over 3 games means they are letting QBs pick them apart. Meanwhile Louisville has the worst defense in the league yardage wise, mostly because of how woeful they have been against the pass. If these teams can fix their obvious holes, they could be championship contenders; if they don't, the holes could sink them fast.
Not The Best Start Tier: Cincinnati, Jacksonvile, Washington
The Dinosaurs are here because they have QBs who can't hit the broadside of a barn. If they can't pass all season, it could turn ugly for them. Their defense is also very sketchy, though that hasn't always led to points. Jacksonville is the opposite with an amazing pass game, but also with a questionable defense. Finally Washington, whose defense has been staunch but can't seem to get yardage on the ground. None of them are out of it yet, but need to see immediate improvement to have any sort of playoff hopes,.
The Can't Buy a Win Tier: Hartford, Houston, Nashville
These three must be the losingest teams in Senior League history. Hartford can claim a championship, but has Nashville or Houston even made the playoffs? Of all the teams, Hartford has the best chance to turn it around. Their statistical performances have been better than their record; they've just gotten unlucky. They've also given up more points than anyone else. Most of these teams should win a few here and there, but after an 0-3 start these teams can be pretty much written off for the playoffs.
Other general notes:
-Sacks and INTs seem way down this year. INTs especially; only 11 over the first 18 games. These things may be related.
- The league really is filling up. It may be time to start another league soon (and then ladder matches, and MVP awards, etc...)
- The run games aren't as dominant as a couple seasons ago, but passing seems to be better all around.
- There are some great quality dots, but some absolute garbage ones too. It's an interesting mix.
