Yeah, but there's a whole window there to put it in to.

Problem is, only two of those were incomplete because the defender actually knocked the ball away without giving the WR a chance to make the catch.

When a possession WR gets two drops and fails a Catch in Traffic roll, that's where I'm having issues. If the 100 Rec Hands 90 Rec Con 98 CiT WR gets a chance to put his hands on the ball, he should be coming down with it. That's the trade-off for the lack of speed and the inability to make those long yardage plays.

You make a lot of eight yard catches, so long as the CB doesn't knock the ball away. But when the CB fails to knock the ball away, you make the catch way more often than not.

Otherwise you might as well drop the cookie-cutter now, because if you can't break the big gain and you can't reliably catch in coverage, what is the point of building anything but a speedster?

You don't need to be a Speedster to be a good WR, but you do need to be able to outrun the Offensive lineman.

maybe prior to this season, but it seems like the current meta is speedster or pine rider

first and foremost, fucking...ew @ slow built. That shit is the worst.

That being said though, he went ham (12/17 for 173 yds and 3 TDs) against the 84th global ranked team. It's still early enough in the season that one big game makes a player's stats look way better than his mean performance would be.

Oh and also, 4.97 40 probably means something like 60-65 sprinting. Not full on speedster, but still a pretty well balanced build with enough speed to get separation.

And a couple "bad" games can make you think that possession WRs are no longer relevant.

EDIT: People keep laughing at Slow Built but it's worked out pretty well for me. Nearly half of my team is running it and I've racked up a record of 103-27 since season 5 when I started them.

only a "couple" bad games, no, but when possession receivers across GLB are all seeing a decrease in production, it's clearly relevant.

Watch TYDNYDTC games, they aren't dead.

Of course they are going to see a decrease in production, they tried gaming the system and it got changed. At no level of football would you see a guy who was over a second slower in the 40 than the average in his position go out and dominate. The guy I linked is a Possession WR by its true definition, he catches much better than the average WR but is much slower as well.

I don't necessarily think you can't build a good player with it, but I also think you could build a better player without it.

No, I own and coach the team. It has worked out well for me.

It depends on the position and exactly what you are trying to do. Some positions I'll never build without it after seeing what you can do with it.

I dunno I haven't seen anything from it that suits the cost.

KOS and rushing QB are the only two good looking slowbuilt builds I've seen.
