Yes- in fact, Wham reached the pinnacle of the "positive rap" movement and, in many ways, lead to the development of "gangsta" and "hardcore" rap, which were a reaction against the utopian leanings of positive rap. Iced T and Ice Cube should thank George Michaels for their acting careers, neither of which would likely exist had they not been prominent hardcore rap artists.
