Like, do the addicts have a HR department that reviews and then interviews all applicants, then calls the references of the ones they liked to make sure they're legitimate?

Yep. The HR department is also responsible for making sure taxes are properly pulled from our paychecks, that everyone gets enough continuing professional education, and that our benefits include time in a massage chair.

Well considering how awful the addicts are at everything despite being super serious about it all, this wouldn't surprise me.
