Basically, the system isn't perfect, but it's the only thing we have that equates to a real life motivation boost. We have no other way of making our dots play harder.

Edit: I forgot to congratulate the Kava Sharks on a great game. Our struggles continue, but hopefully we can figure out something by playoff time in order to compete with the top half of the bracket.

Good game TIT. I saw the score and thought we had put something good together.

Then I saw the box score and figured someone committed a felony and this karma trying to get back at them.

Yeah, you gotta think something is going on when the yardage difference is 428 to 34, with 2 punts against 8, and the final score is 20-16.

Good game, RT. I need a drink.

Cyanide?

Bonus tokens ensure none of us can take any game for granted.

So what you really meant to say was the only reason we won was because we used bonus tokens?

Nope . . . but I'm sure they didn't hurt.

I understand what you what you are saying. I just feel that by adding this attempt at a real life motivational boost brings more flaws to the game than there are without it. Why introduce more problems? Why not add more AI options to allow the truly motivated teams to gain an advantage by super customizing the game plans?

For the record, my comment was directed at the person who made the post, not the Nites.

To be honest, I don't understand why teams would use their bonus tokens against very good teams. I would use them against equal teams to get a clear advantage, not against a better team.

I guess I should apologize. I did not mean to take anything away from the Titans. I do not know if they used tokens or not. I do know for a fact that tokens alone are not enough to win a game against a good opponent. I know this from experience. You still must have solid scouting, a great game plan, and quality builds.

Rawle Tech has demonstrated through the two season that Tonga has been here that they have all three of those things. This win is so far out of the blue to make it unrealistic. They are a quality team.

That being said, the tokens remind me of diet pills advertisements. "These pills, along with diet and exercise, will help you lose weight." Diet and exercise alone will help you lose weight, but the pills sure help the process along.

Its now part of the game and we all have to deal with it whether we like it or not.

Its another strategy hurdle. The playoffs will be crazy as I now have no idea what to expect.

I said it earlier, congrats to RTT! You WON and you deserved it today. Good luck to your team as you move on.

I think you make a significant point regarding bonus token usage . . . its now part of the strategy, and its another part of the "game" that teams have to manage correctly.

Sometimes the difference between a win and a loss might just be the correct and timely use of this new strategic element.

And I do seriously apologize to both the Titans and the 'Nites for bringing this up. It wasn't my intent to undermine either team.

I'm just a guy with a big mouth.

Because the boosting idea was easier to implement Seems like all the best ideas and improvements are put on the back burner for long periods of time in favor of more stop gap and quick fix-it ideas. Five seasons in and we still don't have full depth chart control, such as situational players (3rd down back, switch between blocking/receiving TE's, many more examples). We still can't dictate which direction we want to run the football. There are tons of other things more important that temporary boosting that the game is missing, but it is what it is. It's already here and we might as well roll with it like steelerblitz said.

I can roll with it... but I dont have to like it

Personally, (and this is the only time you will ever hear me say this) whenever a team loses that I think should have won I will forever wonder how much boner tokens played a part in the upset. Will forever wonder if it was a valid win. Likewise, if the teams my players play for win a game that we boosted for I will also forever wonder if we only won because we boosted. Just look how frustrated killertoad was that it was suggested that RTT's win was potentially a result of the tokens. It sucks that that will always be in the back of our minds, but thats what we are forced to deal/roll with and I just cant believe that anyone welcomes this in any shape or form.
