Of course it will never be down to a science but I think you look for the best all-around player at that position and ensure you take everything into account. When in doubt choose the one that made a bigger impact for his/her own team.

I don't normally post in here, but I wanted to nominate my FS - Butch Swift for FS of the year. He is the free safety for the Fiji Ventures and had a tremendous season finishing off with 76 Tackles, 6 Interceptions, 15 Passes Defenses, and 1 Forced Fumble.

No offense to your nomination, but Fiji had a horrible secondary this season.
Averaging the 3rd most pass yards against. Stats aren't the whole story.

yeah, but the difference between 10th and 30th is something like 18-20 yards a game. individual stats arent the whole story, but when you only control your dot and can't control the rest of the players in the secondary, they are certainly the main part of the story.

I think its safe to say you got DE on lock.

So this looks like its not going to happen. If it is the 2 guy in charge need to send out messages to owners issuing the position they will be grading for the award.

I like Knight Mare alot and hes great but Noles tapped into "the Matrix" this season.

I understand what you are saying dviss, but that doesn't mean my FS didn't have an outstanding season. We could not generate much of a pass rush this season, and the 3rd and 4th string DBs were victimized quite often. Also, in this game, stats are most of what we have to go on. If you think there is a better FS then he should get a nomination, but i feel comfortable saying my guy deserves to be in the discussion.

It wasn't intended to slight anyone. I guess I should of wrote it like this.

In my opinion Noles Dynasty is the best DE in the league and probably the most valuable defensive player as well.

This is a little unorganized. How are we deciding who votes on what?
