Titan since this is your thread you should consolidate all of the nominees into the 1st post for us to vote on.

He said something about doing that after the last regular season game i think so he could just do it in 1 go

And what I saw done in another league was, they made a list of the nominees position by position, with each position getting its own thread, and voted on 1 or 2 positions per day

Yea, as i said earlier i think a "by position" approach is the best way to go, since its not just D and O MVP we are deciding. Those will ofc have to be decided aswell

Should we go ahead and start soon, or wait till after the 16th games? then be voting during playoffs?

QB, RB, FB, WRx2, TE, 5OL, DT/NT, DE, LB, CB, Safety

11 threads, so maybe do 3 threads a day

dont mention how many carries he had. Stop crying about how he playes and just enjoy him like I do. We knew we could not block for him for him to run wild on you all so we tried to pass that did not work so well either. We could have put him on 100% run and just tried to run it at you all game long he would have busted a couple long ones but we would still have lost. The game plan had nothing to do with Lucus it had to do with my gameplan.

Lucus has 99 carries more then your best back and he still has a better YPC.

Our highest Oline player has 39 pancakes and you have 6 players with more pancakes and a 5th that is only one short of that. So i would have to say Lucus is by far the best RB in the league and that is coming from a guy that also has a back of his own in this league.

PS, just like to point out we usually split carries, and YPC doesnt mean much when 20% of your yards come from leaving him in all game vs the slow builders, so your point is moot

YPC is the way you judge a RB the higher the carries the lower the YPC.

When you Judge a RB you look at YPC, TD's and the Oline. (and on GLB you look at there lvl's)

Lukus lvl 21 now and your best back lvl 27. Plus we all play against the same teams.

Not my point, but since we are debating...

when a back gets the bulk of those carries vs weaker teams, and less carries agasint stronger teams, it raises his yards per carry. Hence my point.

But good game, regardless, and maybe we will see you in the playoffs

Think what he is trying to say is, that if we only count games against other top-8 teams, witch is probably the best way to see "real" stats, things would probably be shifted around quite a lot. I havent done the math, but i probably will now that you got me going on about it lol

Edit: oh, he already answered.

When I vote I'm definitely ignoring games against slow builders, and putting more stock in a game against Quebec than one against Nova Scotia, for instance. Everyone can vote in their own way though, and I'm sure some will just vote for their own players regardless. Hopefully people can at least try and be objective.

Yep, Ive already started to look though the various leaders and such, then those players game logs to see how many stats were padded vs weak teams, and I have a pretty good objective list going so far.

Well, from what I can tell most of the top rushers at least have very padded stats against the weaker teams, yet Lukas is the only one singled out. That's why I even brought it up, and the fact that we also run 3 backs which has been mentioned about other teams and ignored in complaints about Lukas.

Something to also take into account is the level of the HB/WR, etc vs the defense they are facing. Given my teams average starters vs the majority of the league makes me very happy and is one of the reasons I am defending my guys. Honestly most of the mid levels are leading the league so it shows alot, but no one else is getting dogged on. Just pride in my team, even at 5th.

But again I'll say no one should get auto spots just because of a top stat.

My rules for voting are the majority of the games have to be in this league. Last year they were all figured in so last year when I went listing I skipped those with less than 12 games in the league. If there is someone with less and we can determine that the stats were from this league and they are worthy of note then we can include them. Just my input.

I just bashed Lukas at first because his are the stats I looked at. The only other ones I looked at were the Antioch RBs, and I revised my statement and leaned more toward Lukas (at least over the Antioch guys) in my post after that.
