Yeah, I think we officially decided no choosing players on your own team.

This is sort of how I would like to do it:

You choose your Top 3 from each position. Put them in order as well, so like this.

HB
1.) LaDainian Tomlinson
2.) Joseph Addai
3.) Maurince Jones-Drew

Kinda like that, and then your #1 choice will get 3 points, your #2 will get 2 points, and your #3 will get 1 point. Then, the top point-getters will be put on the roster/depth chart according to the amoung of vote-points they get.

Any objections?

Sounds good Corey. There should also be a post dedicated solely to voting. That way agents can see who each owner is voting for and still get some recognition even if their player does not make the final roster.

I don't know. I think it would be more fun if the votes were made public. Just like the coaches poll in real life. It shows who has who's respect. Like I said, its one of the best parts to see if your player has earned a certain coaches respect. I said we not only have each owner publicly make their vote, but they can also put a little blurb afterwards like...

(QB) Fire ItenDer - 20 TDs to only 6 INTs while throwing for 3,000 yards

Just adds more fun to the whole process rather than just reading the final results. The final results would give each agent like 3 minutes of good reading and entertainment while scrolling through each owner's posts and votes would be very entertaining.

Well this I could go for. However, it would be nice to get one thread specifically for the votes, and another specifically for discussion about it, if we could keep it organized like that.

I know what you are saying, but it never works out that like with this many people involved.

PM the votes to the person handling that conference. Live with the results. Otherwise arguments could be made for about 7-8 people per position.

All though I hope people take a look at the whole picture. Example is the top 2 yardage QB in Zeta are both on the top 10 INT list and play with no backup. Versus the the next 5 yardage Qb's who split time.

personal opinion but we vote for 1 more then what will get recognized. Allows for a little more rfeedom to choose as well as giving the more accurate choices.

Example Qb and RB - we vote for 3 top 2 vote getters will get posted.

I think the vote-point system is the easiest. You understand that giving the #1 guy on your list will give him 3 points etc. etc., and the top vote-point getters will fall in the depth chart in that order.

I'm also thinking no votes be cast until the last game is played.

It could get a bit random who is selected as #4 LB if we are only allowed to cast 3 votes. What about we make a top 4 for each position ?

I like the idea that each owner's vote is made public to spark some debate.
To keep a good overview of the results the vote counter could make a consolidated thread.
- The first post contains an empty result
- One empty post for each teams votes.
- Then as soon as the teams sends him the votes he edit the thread to include them
- When all votes are cast he edits the first post to contain the result

This way people can post their comments in the thread without destroying the voting overview.

When do we vote?

I am going to nominate Corey to run this process. He knows what he is doing, he seems the most active, and I think he can stay on top of this. As this thread proves, there are going to be differing opinions on how this thing is run. So I think it would be best to voice our opinions, and set the rules and we will just live with them whether we agree or not. Corey would then make an OFFICAL thread with the voting rules and OFFICAL voting ballot that each owner will post in the thread. Once the post is made, that vote is OFFICIAL. There's no argument, a vote is a vote.

As for the whole PM'ing our vote to Corey. I think we would miss out on a lot of fun. Its probably going to take a while (over a week), to get the majority of the votes in. Then the results are posted, we read them for 2 minutes and the fun is over.

However, if we have an OFFICIAL voting thread where each owner publicly places their OFFICIAL team's 1 vote into that thread for all to discuss, it will keep us busy/entertained for weeks. So that way, even if it takes a week or two to get everybody's vote in, we can be discussing each of the votes as they come out. I'm telling you, it would be a lot more fun. The whole reason we are doing this is to recognize great players and discuss opinions.
