With this still being called Beta. I understand the want and desire to re-roll earlier rather than waiting until season 7 or later and wishing you would have done it. I hate seeing a league I feel is one of the most competitive leagues in GLB fall apart, but do understand why you are doing it now rather than later. Best of luck with the re-roll.

I know they're not doing it... But I don't get the problem with Windsor throwing some of their players to BTB...

Farm teams are normal... trading your other players from other teams, or your agents who have other players in other teams is perfectly normal behaviour.

The only difference is this would be organised.

The BTB, Windsor team are already at a disadvantage in that they don't... or only as a last resort, recruit non guild members.

Currently every team on the way up, are constantly every season recruiting new/better players to join your team.

Because that would be considered as 'gutting/collusion' and its against GLB rules. Bort would have about 9,999 PM's as soon as any of us saw a Windsor player in a BTB uniform.

The team owner deceide to restart the team down releasing all players, the team is aware of it. Some players want to retain their current player, and would therefore move out.

What is wrong with moving it to a friendly team? Or let say move it to an external term, then maybe 1-2 seasons later move it to BTB?

This is done on a daily basis across the league.

ie
Lets say Windsor and BTB had no affiliation, and this whole process was done, but with some players going to BTB instead of retiring....

Collusion, is therefore assumed, guilt is assumed, because of affiliation.

I say the only fair thing is to distribute some of Windsor's players to other teams in the league.

We get Michael Young.

I am writing down the entire BTB roster right now. I will check it daily to make sure it does not change.

We made the Windsor team on week 8 of Season 1. Like most of you we had no idea how fun the game would be and we had no clue how to make a character. We had some good fun "role-playing" our toons and trash talking. We had some success (7-2, 15-1 and 11-5) and we really enjoyed the competition.

We've come to the realization that we didn't really build our characters right on Windsor. We've out leveled this league since we've been in it but never had the degree of success that we should have. We are MMO veterans and fully understand what it means to "re-roll", especially in a beta.

The Windsor Warriors will be "re-rolling" starting day one of season five. We will not be a "gutted" team that has no hope. We will be an easy win for a couple of seasons and then we'll be back for blood. Beer Town will remain intact as we feel that our builds are far superior (though far from perfect) than Windsor. We will rename Windsor to our guild name, The Purple Dragons. (www.purpledragons.net)

I know we've been yelling the loudest about gutted teams and how they ruin the integrity of the league but I hope you can see how this is different. This is a legitimate rebuild of an existing team. We will be competitive again in short order.

We will be playing out this season with the intention to go deep into the playoffs and win a title. I know there are some outstanding teams in our way but we will not be rolling over for anyone. Next season we will do our best to win every time we are on the field. I don't expect to win any games but one can hope.

Thank you

Maybe its not you player builds, but rather your game planning?

While I respect the decision, I really don't care who or what ends up on Windsor's roster or BTB or the budding Purple Dragons. Each team gets to play 11 guys at a time. Gut, collude, recruit, whatever ...

People are going to cheat -- that's just a fact of life. These guys aren't cheating. If they were cheating, they sure as hell wouldn't be giving you the roadmap and the directions they were planning to take.

Good luck to Windsor and affiliates. We don't plan to be around to see the fruit of your decision.

We have had games where we gameplanned poorly, this is clear. But the problems we are seeing are completly independent of a gameplan. Our dots are moving in ways we do not want them to move. In some cases not fast enough, or maybe they are not moving toward the rushing HB soon enough, or maybe they take too long to change directions. We see things that are wrong because we invested too much in one stat and not enough in another and at this level, the soft cap + slow leveling makes it hard to fix these problems in any timely manner.

If I personally was in this predicament I wouldn't wait until next season to restart. If you do nothing else I would at least make some of the players right now and throw them on special teams so they get what experience they can now and can still take advantage of the season ending boosts. If you wait until next season you miss out on 4 crucial boosts that you can't get back and the experience you could get from the last 5 or so games..

I have no issues with re-rolls and starting over when builds become obsolete. I've built my own guys with builds contingent on the future and not necessarily now. I know more changes are taking place each day and eventually the best all around builds will be most successful.

Say your team goes down, you can transfer your player to any team you want... sounds dodgy to me...
