AI should still be there. I had access to offensive tactics on a Canada A team, the owner sold it, and somehow I became the OC on the same team under the new owner o_O. The couple of things I did to the playbook were still there when I returned.

Thats good news then. Theres a lot of stuff in there that took some time to put together. Hopefully the new owner is atleast somewhat experienced and not as much of a newcommer as bronco was.

You have to be convinced yourself that there is promise of success before you start convinving anyone else. Maybe I'm too honest... but I couldn't turn a borderline gutted team into anything special.

I would try to get to know the people who have contracts, let them know me, my experiences both in the game and out; my knowledge of football; and let it go from there. Sure if people are insisitent to be released, I would work them into a situation where the don't disrupt the team. I still don't see a reason to leave a team just because the owner leaves, especially if he's been called out as a crappy owner in the first place.

You are sweet Drew. But really I'm a good owner because I am awesome at life in general

The new owner has been given the team. I have sent him this PM and directed him to this forum.

Hey man, hows it goin, my name is Drew, up until about 11PM tonight, I was the head GM of the Vancouver Crush. The owner didnt know much, so he brought me in, and i recruited and assembled a team last season thatw ent to the Conference Championship game. We did some extensive recruiting this offseason and put together a solid team that is 80% unboosted and a lock for the playoffs.
The reason you recieved the team was because the old owner threw a fit because a new GM(not me) came on and traded away 4 or 5 players who were core teammates on the Crush. He sold the team and left the players hanging.

We have been crossing our fingers that the new owner would be a stand-up guy, who would know how to keep this team headed in the right direction.
I have set great tactics and alot of A-I tactics for both offense and defense that are very complex and very effective.

I would like to get back on the team as a GM to help you out, I have a very strong bond with all of these players and Id like to help you get settled in. Its your team, you run the show, Id just like to help you transition into the team. In 2 days the Crush play against the 1 ranked team, a team we upset in the playoffs last season and it is a game this team needs to win.

You are recieving a team thats in great shape, I built a solid foundation for success here and want to see this team do well. I know that the next day or two are going to be critical, you dont want to have a roster full of pissed off players who dont wanna play for you.

I ask you bring me on as some kind of 'consultant' and let me get the gameplan set up in the forums, and in the tactics, and I will do that kinda work until you are ready tot ake over the team 100%. I am not making any fo this up, feel free to PM any of the players on the roster, they all know me very well since I am the guy that recruited them.

You can check our the Canada A2 forums where theres been a lengthy discussion on this situation. I hope you can see I only want what is best for the Crush, your team. Let me know what you think. There is a very critical game in 2 days with HUGE playoff implications. Thanks for your time.
Drew

The new owner has some players on the Bologna Towers. I'm not sure how that's going to work.

Request a trade/release. Not like Bologna's season's gonna crumble by losing those players. But they certainly don't want that conflict.

You know what is funny? the old owner forgot to release his own player before he cut and run... So he must be ditching the game all together. Would be nice if we can pick up the new owner's QB though... much better QB :-)

I'm not really worried about him having a few players on Baloney... other then I want the QB to come to us hehe, its not like we'd ever play them.

He seems willing to take the team and keep it in tact. That alone will let me give the guy a chance. I was mostly worried about a guy coming in, gutting, and making a farm team or someone like stephenmcagen taking over.

At least the Crush and the Towers have played each other this year already. The players could easily stay on the teams they are on for the rest of the year. We know they will not be meeting in the playoffs. I agree though before next season, something should be done with all of his players on Towers.

Glad he is not gutting the team. Maybe the Crush vs Lumberjacks can still be a great rivalry. Looking forward to playing them tomorrow.

Coach Dawg

ps I am telling my players not to bring the Broncofan is a shithead sign to Vancouver .

Well, let me know what is going on. I know that MattMan Firespot released Flash Dash before all of the crap went down. If this new owner is a decent guy, I'd consider coming back to the Crush.

That's sad to hear as Vancouver was a well run, class act organization. Hopefully Vancouver continues on being as strong as it was. Best of luck...
