Doc, your players need more stamina. That should help you keep your leads.

Wow, you could be right. I hadn't noticed it before but in nearly all the games this season, my players start giving up points soon after the first kickoff. Special teams is a real energy killer!

Looks like the Fire is in pretty good shape for the playoffs. Your DE situation could be trouble but that revamped secondary is intimidating.

More confidence too, the most under rated stat in the game. That morale loss early is a killer too!

I think we're good at DE. We upgraded there not long ago. And it seems like no matter what we do in the secondary our opponents get a lot of passing yards. But everyone in AAA2 is giving up those yards.

I think its just the upgraded passing game this season. Everyone has a better passing game than what they had last season. I feel like our secondary is one of the best in the league but we are averaging well over 200 yards allowed per game through the air.

We do lead our conference in PDs and are near the top in INTs, so I think our secondary is one of the best in the conference. But we give up ~250 yards a game, right in the middle. I know that's inflated from using the Prevent late in the games where we have big leads late.

Our passing game has gotten a lot better too, so I can deal with giving up more yards.

Just did a quick check on our previous winners...

Both the Wolfpack and Royals were #2 seeds in their respective conferences. They both won in round 1, with the #1 seed in the West falling, leaving Richey as the top seed remaining.

The Fire finished as the #3 seed, and advanced into the second round of the playoffs at the AAA level.

As for the Gamers...well, they're coming home to A6 next season to compete with the Blue Wolf to avoid relegation.

Royals got tough one today against the San Diego Frightening Lightening. We beat them early in the regular season but they have been playing well lately.

Looks like the Wolfpack are moving up again.

That's probably lucky for the teams that win our league's games today. The Wolfpack are pretty darn good -- did they even boost this season? You have to like their chances in the league title game, too, against a #5 seed, although the Troopers' losses mostly have been very close, so that may be a tough matchup.

Painmaker didn't boost yet. He's not sure if he likes the way the game is going. If he sees hope before the beginning of next season, he'll boost.

We lost our playoff game to the Owls. They beat us by 7 when we gave up 2 long TD passes in the 4th quarter. Tough loss, but we feel like we'll have a good shot next year.

Too bad Richey lost too, it would have been cool to have 3 A6 teams in AAA2.

Have you seen his stat bars for level 25?

Yeah, for Level 25, they are definitely impressive. I'm surprised to hear Painmaker's on the fence about the direction the game has taken, though. I think this has been the best season yet, hands down. The gameplay is far more realistic, and the addition of AI has been great. There's still plenty of room for improvement, but I really can't fault Bort on the updates he's made.

I think Pain doesn't like the overall league management and the level of uncompetitive teams.

He may just be too brilliant for us, though. He shut out the opposing team without boosting. Granted, the opposing team made the same mistake we did last season.

Which I won't talk about (because it was my fault!)

Oh, now that I agree with. The (non-)handling of gutted teams is a long-standing problem, and it's a big one.

And its only going to get worse next season, even here in A6 (East).

We'll have the Wolves plus one other team (not officially announced, but he told me when he sent in his Pro Bowl ballot) sold during the offseason this year, plus we'll be getting the Gamers back. Add in the Blue Wolf, who are trying to get out from under the "gutted" label, and 1/4 of the conference isn't close to competitive.

I really hope Bort & Co. have a way to deal with the issue.
