Good writeup, thanks for adding details. Look at Antioch flying back after their loss to Puvi.

I think there's another game of the week in the East too: Hamilton vs. Niagara
Hamilton is coming off their disappointing loss to Swamp Ass, and Niagara has a chance to break the top 8. Lots to be lost, lots to be gained. If Niagara pulls it off, both teams will be 4-3, and Niagara snags a crucial tie-break.

Good call on Crush and Lake Monsters though, they're seperated by just 0.003 points.

East might have some powerhouses but the West teams are very tough. If the playoffs were today, a 4-2 team would not be invited to the big dance. Sorry Bruins, a winning record is not good enough in our conference. You have to try a little harder. Since you are playing our newly created gutted team http://goallineblitz.com/game/roster.pl?team_id=3458 , you should have no problem winning this week. You might be the first one to score 200 points in our league....that is huge.

Can't disagree there. It almost made my list, but I decided to limit it to 2 games for the East. Definitely should be a good game!

So, was the name change voluntary or Mod/Admin imposed?

Also, I'm amazed that people on GLB talk so much about team names being copyrighted. Team names/nicknames have value as Trademarks and I don't think a team name itself satisfies the modicum of creativity and artistic merit needed for a copyright.

Hehe sucks. Sometimes mods are very witty when renaming stuff like that. I remember i had a guy on another onlinegame called Count Bastardo. That wasnt ok apparantly, cuz suddenly his name was Count Nofathero.

I kinda enjoy what the mods come up with when they rename teams, actually.

When I saw "Fighting Copyrights," I laughed out loud.

This conference has the fewest remaining undefeateds of all Canada A leagues, does this mean we're the most competitive, or least competitive?

Two name changes this week! Unfortunately for the newly renamed Hermitage Perverts, the move from Alberta led to more of the same in the 84-3 drubbing at the hands of Westwood. Maybe its just karma from having a kicker named "Jesus is Lord" on a team called the Perverts.

Also, the Copyrights are no more, and are back to the Fighting Irish with their move north to Halifax.

Kudos to Strom for his pick of Hamilton vs. Niagara (26-24) as a game of the week. It lived up to any hype that it could have had attached. Lucky for me, my picks of the Fighting Irish/Hustlas (16-14) and Crush/Lake Monsters (17-16) games also provided some good entertainment value. I was way off in picking the Megalodon/Dirtbags game (41-3) as a game to watch.

With that lead in, the rankings are updated: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pOUigrsS32wJHK8ebvc2ZLg&hl=en.

The rankings seem to have stabilized a bit at the top. The Dirtbag's loss, however, did take a pretty hefty toll on their ranking.

The Rankings Summary for the WESTERN conference:

Rank Team - Rating (Change from last week)
1 Port Moody Megalodon - 11.248 (--)
2 Laval Lumberjacks - 10.916 (--)
3 Gaffney Indians - 10.715 (--)
4 Listowel Huskies - 10.584 (--)
5 Vancouver Crush - 9.827 (+2)
6 Westwood Bruins - 9.659 (+2)
7 Ogopogo Lake Monsters - 9.318 (-1)
8 Tradewest Battletoads - 9.125 (+2)
9 Québec City Dirtbags - 9.085 (-4)
10 Memphis Maulers - 8.481 (-1)
11 Saskatchewan Wolf Pack - 7.327 (+1)
12 Thunder Bay Titans - 7.104 (-1)
13 B.K. Thunderbirds - 6.025 (--)
14 Montreal Raptors - 5.740 (--)
15 Bologna Towers - 4.697 (--)
16 Hermitage Perverts - 3.833 (--)

The Rankings Summary for the EASTERN conference:

Rank Team - Rating (Change from last week)
1 Winnipeg Wolves - 11.426 (--)
2 Puvirnituq Musketeers - 11.350 (--)
3 Quebec Quasars - 11.134 (--)
4 Antioch Inferno - 9.890 (--)
5 Halifax Fighting Irish - 9.842 (--)
6 Hamilton Lightning - 9.669 (--)
7 Lancaster Hustlas - 9.004 (+1)
8 Blitzkrieg Bandits - 8.768 (-1)
9 Lincoln Lucky - 8.348 (+1)
10 Niagara Assassins - 8.268 (-1)
11 Toronto Bobcats - 7.018 (+3)
12 S.W.O. Swamp Donkeys - 6.732 (-1)
13 Nova Scotia Snakes - 6.660 (--)
14 Yellowknife Rented Mules - 6.378 (-2)
15 Sacramento Terror - 3.466 (+1)
16 Canadian Military - 3.215 (-1)

Upcoming Games of the Week:
W: Ogopogo at Tradewest (The winner should move into at least the 7 or 8 spot and put itself in good position for the postseason)
E: Quebec at Antioch (Just 'cuz.)

Edited.

You can only expect me to read and understand a fraction of what I write.

I think the Vancouver vs Laval in the West should also be a good game. Laval gave Vancouver the only regular season loss last year. Vancouver repaid Laval by taking them out in the playoffs. Now it is Laval (6-1) going into Vancouver (5-2). Should be a great game.

I spent a ton of time scouting for that game. I thought it was going to be very close. On paper it looked like a great game, So imo you where not too far off.
