Saipan Owner comicfanman has been busy working hard on fixing the problems that have risen on the team and made some much needed improvements to their offensive line. Acquistions of guards Erik Steinbach and France's own Fido Dido have helped tremendously at that position. With word of new competition at the guard position Magnus Mangus has stepped up his training. Also the new upgrade at DE with FIRE STARTER should help the defense front. Newly aquired DT Ramses V was brought over as part of a deal including a guard has one day to renegotiate his contract with Saipan otherwise he will be a FA as of tomorrow.

Demon Skullcrusher will be moving back to his MB position and hopefully fix the nimber of miss tackling that has been going on at that position. And other postion changes have been made to try to salvage the year.

Owner comicfanman released an emergency statement to the team to try and ease the bad feelings that have been spreading this season. Hopefully they can recover and not have to rebuild yet again another season. Trying to keep the team members on the team for next season is the number one goal for Saipan. Let's wish tem well.

Well comicfanman mixed things up with trades for the Saipan Fighters. Newly aquired DE FIRE STARTER traded before he even hit the locker room. DT Ramses V decided not to renegoitiate a contract with Saipan even after the forced trade. He joined the 4-0 Ipanema Beach Bullies as the starting DT. Two new Guards and two new Defensive lineman to help secure much needed spot on the Fighters lineup.

Saipan beat the 9.5 point spread against the Great Barrier Reef Sharks to win their first game of the season 42 - 10. Play of the game goes to Allen Rossum with his 86.5 yard kick return for a touchdown. Great blocking opened a whole big enough for him to squeeze through for 6 points. The rushing game opened up and Saipan averaged 5.5 yards a carry and QB Dylan Salisbury threw for two touchdowns on only 9 attempts. Saipan seemed to have a better gameplan and I think surprised everyone in the league with this big win. But will it be enough to change the overall outcome of the season for them?

Well Saipan Fighter fans there is a rumor that the owner/coach has decided to start the backups for this next game. The team seems more interested in there younger players gaining experience more than even trying to compete against one of the top ranked teams tomorrow in the FFLivewire Cans. The Cans should get a major blowout tomorrow if this is the case. They may be thinking about the future of the team. With the number of new players recently added to the team their chemistry adjustment period will last a little longer while the players get to know each other and adapt to each others playing styles.

On the other hand after getting his first return for a touchdown this season Allen Rossum is hungry for more. He was brought to the team to do some damage on special teams and last game he really opened it up. If Saipan has any hope it might be with this returner. If the Fighters can get their receivers to get open in this game there could also be hope on the offensive side. As far as Saipan's defense they are talking up some big talk and are preparing for the game of their lives.

We shall see how the coin falls tomorrow. Will luck be on the side of the Fighters for a mahor upset or will they fall as predicted. The odds are heavy against them and if some how they pull out of this battle with a win the league will be crashing to their knees in amazement. But come on!!!! The FFLivewire Cans won't let that happen.

FFLivewire (5-0) -44.5 over Saipan (1-4)

That was an ugly game for the Fighters. The Cans ran all over them. Racking up over 400 yards rushing. You could see the footprints on the fronts and backs of the Fighters Jerseys. There was no stopping that run attack no matter what Saipan had planned. 39 missed tackles says it all. The superior defense of the Cans caused another shutout and they look to be unstoppable this season. With only 17 points scored against them in 6 games and 4 of those 6 games were shutouts, the Cans look to kill any offense that steps on the field.

Meanwhile the Saipan Fighters have to regroup and prepare for another tough opponent in the Rawle Tech Titans. The owner has instructed all team members to move into the team boarding house for the rest of the season. They need to learn about each other and their tendencies on and off the field. Hopefully this strategy will help the team build a stronger union of football players that may someday be able to compete with the other teams in the league.

Another heavy running Team coming at Saipan. After last game giving up 400+ yards on the ground, I think the pee wee league could run on the Fighters. Will Rawle Tech change their game plan and air it out or just ground and pound like they have been doing. I have a bad feeling Saipan fans, another punch to the gut and nothing to show for it.

The team on the other hand is still fighting with each other over this and that. New guys wanting their fair share and the old guys wanting them just to shut up. Their chemistry will not come together until these guys learn to get along and work well with each other out on the field.

Rawle Tech (5-1) -40.5 over Saipan (1-5)

Well, we've run on everyone pretty well so far, but we've only faced one top level team. I'm sure things will sort themselves out as the season goes on. We've got a good test against one of the two teams to beat us last year during the regular season: Tongan Auha. We may have to try some new stuff to pull this one off, they really creamed us last year.

Another well taken beating for the Fighters. Giving up almost 1,000 yards that game. The Titans acted like Titans and whipped them good. Piling up 400 yards rushing and 500 yards passing. Saipan couldn't do anything to stop them. On a good note - the Fighters scored and Kid Dynomite didn't drop that pass like he normally might have. Maybe it's a sign of what might come in the future. But for now the team is going back to regroup once again. At least next game the shoe might be on the other foot. As there is going to be a fight to see who is really the worst team in the league.
